ANSWER: Remove and replace with a freshly-mixed mortar
22. When can you say that a constructed wall is acceptable?
ANSWER: Plumbness of 1mm / meter height
23. What is the standard gap or measurement between blocks being laid?
ANSWER: 10 mm
24. What would you do if the area to be plastered is uneven?
ANSWER: When the difference between the highest and lowest points is less than half
the plaster thickness, use plumb guide and take the highest point as the
reference to measure plaster thickness. However, if the difference is greater,
grind the highest point until the required difference is attained.
25. What would you do if the scaffolding you were using is short of height in line
with job requirement?
ANSWER: Do not use. Look for a longer size to fit the height.
26. What would you do next after plastering concrete or masonry
surface? ANSWER: Perform curing
27. How frequent do you carry-out water curing?
ANSWER: Depending on the weather condition, If surface is dry, spray
water intermittently
28. When mixing mortar with the one-bagger mechanical mixer, what is the
main reason why water is always placed to the mixer first.
