Can The College Student Do Whatever He Wants
- For me, The College Student can do whatever he wants but in a good way that he will go
on a path on what he thinks that is Right and good for him. He had no choice but to go
back to school for one semester just for one subject for him to be able to repeat and pass
it. Because maybe that is the rules of their school. Every school has different rules to be
followed. You must take a full responsibility because doing so is right and beneficial for
you.
- The College student Is the one who is responsible over what happened because you have
to balance your schoolwork with your other responsibilities, which may include work or
time with friends and family and travelling. With practice, though, you can learn to be a
responsible student and develop skills as well as time management that will help you
throughout the rest of your life. And that will serve you as a learned lesson.
Does the action of the college student affirm Sartre’s principle of responsibility for
the self (being responsible of himself/herself)? In what way?
- Yes, the action of the college student affirm Sartre’s principle of responsibility for the self.
Because just like what Sartre’s said he/she was free, and only he/she could make the
decision. In a way that you get to make your own choices but you do not get to choose
your consequences and it is depended on your hard work. Because, hard work really pays
off.
Does the action of the college student affirm Sartre’s principle of responsibility for
others? In what way?
- Yes, the Action of the college student affirm Sartre’s principle of responsibility for others.
In way that you have a total freedom of choice comes total responsibility that we all are
responsible for all elements of ourselves and our actions.
In every action a person makes there will always be consequences. What is the
consequence of the college student’s action? How could this be avoided?
- The consequence of the college student’s action is that the consequences could be
overwhelming. Failing a college course could have lasting effects on the rest of a persons
college career. Someone who fails a college course could lose their financial aid, their
grade point average would be effected negatively, and worse yet, the embarrassment and
humiliation of flunking the class. Just receiving a failing grade in one class could lead to
disastrous results. Failing a subject can be disheartening but it is a good opportunity to
review whether you’re studying subjects that engage and motivate you, whether you
need to improve your study techniques or whether you need to adjust your study load. It
is important to reflect on why you failed a subject and come up with some strategies to
improve your performance for the repeating semester you’re going to retake. This can be
avoided by not being too hard on yourself. Failing a class in college happens to even the
best of students, and it’s unrealistic to expect that you’ll be able to do everything perfectly
in college. You messed up. You failed a class. But in most cases, you probably didn’t ruin
your life or put yourself in some kind of disastrous situation. Focus on what good you can
take away from what is undeniably a bad situation. Consider what you learned and what
you need to do to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Going forward, do whatever you
need to do to keep making progress toward your academic goals
What important learning you gained from the topic: Freedom and Responsibility?
Why is it important for you?
- An important learning I gained from the topic Freedom and Responsibility. Is that,
Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. You cannot have freedom if you refuse to
accept responsibility. Both can be found together or go forward together. If you refuse to
take responsibility, you must accept discrimination in some form. You once dreamed
about independence without ever considering the responsibilities that would come with
it. You enjoy freedom, but you haven't maintained your end of the bargain. Sadness
therefore hangs about you. You may make this sadness go away without a doubt. You can
certainly be creative if you were able to free yourself from your bonds and enslavement.
Freedom and responsibility for me is important because I have the ability to decide my
schedules and to make my decisions and to decide my actions. While on the other hand
my responsibility is being held with me also taking accountable for my actions. Because I
know the freedom without responsibility is stressful.
