STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL
Over the years, I have learned that the heart of a business is the ability to transform raw materials into
the product & services that is being marketed. It was on how Supply chain & Logistics is impacting the
world we live in and the endless possibilities knowledge in this subject had to offer. It was very
fascinating. This was the beginning of my true interest in the subject. Supply chain & logistics drives a
significant proportion of global economic activity and is influencing progress across numerous fields.
Supply chain & logistics is constantly being harnessed to help businesses drive efficiencies, gain deeper
operational insights, and ultimately generate more revenue. I have personally known friends that have
started their businesses, only to have it fail due to their lack of attention to maintaining viable supply
chains. With these cautionary tales, I hope to be able to manage my own company in the future and
lead with the knowledge of how to preserve productive supply to meet the necessary demand.
For this reason, I hope to be able to complete an MSc program in Supply Chain Management, which will
give me a greater understanding of the principles that drive fluctuations in supplies as well as strategies
to mitigate the consequences of these variabilities. For the past three years , I have worked as Escalation
data ops review – customer support at a MNC business firm, and this has allowed me to hone my skills
in the business sphere as well as recognize the need for improved understanding of actual supply chains.
Through assessing and developing reports for individual programs, I have come to realize that more
attention needs to be paid to the types of contingencies planned for when choosing suppliers or
vendors.
Additionally, I have served as business advisor to one of the shipping client FedEx, and I hope to be able
to learn how to manage these resources to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency more
effectively. I realized that pursuing a master’s in Supply Chain Management would come forth with a lot
of rewarding opportunities especially when the career goals and industry-specific implementations are
concerned. The UK is one of the most accessible and well-known countries in the world, with endless
opportunities for higher education. Driven by my motivation to pursue a master’s in Supply Chain
Management I cataloged my options and found a plethora of programs in the UK.
After completion of this MSC in Supply Chain Management, I believe that I will be well poised to enter
the industry as a business professional that can help corporations optimize their various supply chains,
as well as consistently assessing their performance to ensure that demands are met. Through the
specific training that I will receive during my time in MSc program, I will develop skills that will enhance
my ability to work on real-world projects that will challenge my creativity and leadership skills.
Additionally, it will offer me an invaluable opportunity to network with different companies, which
greatly enhances my career potential and UK has wider job opportunities in this domain.
Besides, the UK is one of the largest destinations for international students, providing quality education
for the value of money. This would expose me to people from different ethnicities and develop a sense
of multiculturalism in me. It would further contribute towards my personal growth and to learn about
their world, beliefs, practices, and more. A master’s program in the UK is mostly for one year and is
more focused on learning the underpinning theory of a concept. The UK also provides a more practical
approach to education which I feel is essential as it gives more exposure to the Realtime work
environment.
I believe this practical approach, which is more goal oriented, will help me in polishing and brightening
my career prospects. I want to significantly advance my knowledge in this domain and this masters’
program will thus be a step towards achieving my dreams. I am looking forward to further advancing my
skills in the field of business through completing MSc in Supply Chain Management, which will allow me
to enhance corporate operations in the future through careful assessment and innovative vision.
Elective courses like Procurement, logistics Management, Operations and Quality, Negotiation, Personal
and Professional development will grant me the tools to solve complex problems with cutting-edge
technologies. Lastly, the project component will give me a substantial opportunity to integrate material
from all taught units and demonstrate the breadth and depth of my learning atUNIVERSITY OF
LIVERPOOL.
I also intend to become an active member of the community by organizing seminars and various
workshops. Besides academics, I intend to work closely with global peers to widen my perspective on
the concept of an inclusive environment. I am looking forward to the expertise the program will equip
me to succeed in this exciting and fast-moving discipline. There is not a field more fascinating to me than
Supply chain & logistics. Furthermore, I am confident that I can contribute to your community through
directed effort and a constant strive to always do better. I hope that the admission committee reviews
my application in a positive light and invites me to be a part of your prestigious institution
