Tagbugok 1 (Azarcon) : Good morning/afternoon everyone. Before we

are going to start, I would like to ask everyone to please stand for a
prayer.
Prayer:
Let us all pray and feel the presence of the Lord. In the name
of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit. Amen.
Lord for your guidance and love. We thank you for all the
blessings we received. We ask forgiveness for all the sins we committed.
We pray Lord God, that you will send your Holy Spirit to enlighten us, to
give us the wisdom, knowledge and understanding that we need as we
start to present our final proposal-defense of our dissertation. Guide us
during the presentation of our paper, that we will be able to present well
the result of our study and hopefully passed successfully our defense. We
also pray for the panelists that they will not make it very difficult to us
and enlighten our understanding that we will be able answer the
questions they will ask. We offer to you oh God the successes of this day.

Tagbugok 1 (Azarcon) : Again, Good morning/afternoon to all.
In some other places there were reported cases regarding the spread
involvement of police in administrative cases and violating law.
According to Philippine National Police (PNP)-Surigao City, out of 108
police personnel from 2018 to 2021 in the city there are 4 police
personnel involved on the said case.
Nowadays, some police personnel instead that they are the one who
implement laws and will responsible in securing peace and harmony in
the community they are also the one who violates it and others make
people unsafe.
Thus, the study is all about…
“PREVALENCE OF POLICE INVOLVEMENT TO
ADMINISTRATIVE CASE AND VIOLATION OF LAW AS
PERCEIVED BY SURIGAO CITY POLICE PERSONNEL”
In this study we’re going to know the perception of every police
personnel in Surigao City regarding the issue.
Tagbugok 2 (Roculas) : We already know the primary idea why we
conducted this study. Now, let’s proceed to the RATIONALE of our
study.

According to Napolcom Memorandum 2016-002, this is how

administrative matters function. Administrative proceedings have become
the most accessible method of remedy for claimed victims of
misbehaving cops due to the relatively quick process involved.
Thus, this study will utilized quantitative descriptive employing
survey method. This is the most appropriate design for it seeks to find out
the perception of Surigao City Police Personnel on the prevalence of
police involvement to administrative case and violation of law.

We all know that there is a presence of involvement to

administrative case and violation of law here in our city which is the
Surigao City. And it was already introduced to us by Researcher 1.
However, with this issue we come up to focused on our objective
which is studying and knowing the perception of Surigao City police
personnel.
Pinaka-Tagbugok 3 (Eleguir): Now, we have the idea of what is our

study all about. Let’s proceed in knowing how we are going to achieve
and make this study possible by knowing our FRAMEWORK OF THE
STUDY.
Our study was anchored from Administrative Violations and

Sanctions (1991). (Read the PPT presentation)
This area, we have chose this Administrative Violations and

Sanctions (1991) since it is related to our study. There’s some article
there that provides information about what are some violations of police
personnel in a certain law and what are the possible sanctions from their
misconduct as a police officers.
Pinaka-Tagbugok 3 (Eleguir):
Because of that Administrative Violations and Sanctions Act our
study had been supported. And we come up to our schematic diagram.
As what we can see there is a 3 parts or box. The first box presents
the profile of the respondents. Second box shows the Prevalence of Police
Involvement to Administrative Case and Violation of Law as Perceived
by Surigao City Police Personnel. The last part is the proposed
recommendation with regards to result of the study.
Tagbugok 4 (Oliverio) : This time lets further understand our study. This
part I am going to present to you our STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
that basing on our schematic diagram.

To solve the stated problems, in general we are going to create a

survey questionnaire that contained the biography of the respondents and
some survey questions regarding the topic of this study. In short, we were
going to conduct data gathering and that data will be analyzed and
interpreted through specific statistical tool. Then, problem solved.
Tagbugok 4 (Oliverio) : Next is RESEARCH METHOD DESIGN. It

will helps us on how or what we are going to use to achieved the
solutions of the problems.

In this study, it won’t be possible if we don’t have a respondents
or PARTICIPANTS. Thus, as we gathered data we come up with this
certain participants.

Tagbugok 1 (Azarcon) : In order to analyzed the result, we were going
to used statistical tool which are.
Frequency Count and Percentage Distribution.

To use this we will first get the average number of respondents

which is 168 police personnel and identify their profiles.
So for instance, let us say in Sex or Gender profile we have 130
male police personnel and 38 female. The number of male and female
officers is already the frequency. And then to get the percentage we are
going only to divide the frequency to the total or average number of
respondents which is 168 and multiply by 100. So, in 130 male there’s a
77.38 % and for 38 female there is a 22.61 %.
Mean (M) and Standard Deviation (SD).

In getting our mean we will make and used the frequency table but
first we will going to identify the number of respondents who answer the
strongly agree, agree… and etc.
And then if have the data for example, we will just going to
multiply every data value to its corresponding frequency. Add or total the
data and then divide it to your total frequency.
For the standard deviation, after we work on the mean, next is we
are going to subtract the Mean and square the result for each number.
Then work out the mean of those squared differences. Take the square
root of that and we are done!

For a ANOVA, I think we just going to used spreadsheet or
Microsoft excel to test the relationship stated in our hypothesis.
