    NITROCELLULOSE FINISHES FV 250 series


    (FINITURE NITRO serie FV 250)
    1) GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

    1.1) General information:


    Nitrocellulose-based, one-component, clear finish for interiors.
    Excellent flow, filling properties and fast-drying.

    1.2) Instructions for use:


    Recommended for finishing any type of wood, from furniture to interior furnishings.
    Apply over a coat of NITROCELLULOSE BASECOAT 111 or POLYURETHANE BASECOAT
    FV 802 after sanding.

    2) IDENTIFICATION PROPERTIES
    Type of resin: Short oil alkyd.
    Specific weight: 950 g/litre ± 20 g/litre Total solids: 26% ± 1% w/w
    °
    Kinematic viscosity at 20 C: Ford viscosity cup/4: 60” ± 2”
    Flash point (closed cup): <21°C
    Gloss meter: 30 ± 5 gloss for FV250/30
    Gloss meter: 50 ± 5 gloss for FV250/50
    Gloss meter: 90 ± 5 gloss for FV250/90

    3) APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

    3.1) Ambient and substrate conditions


    Ambient temperature: minimum 5 °C maximum 40 °C
    Ambient relative humidity: maximum 80%
    Substrate temperature: minimum 5 °C maximum 40 °C
    Maximum humidity of substrate: for wood and wood derivative substrates: 15-20%

    3.2) Application with air sprayer (air mix)


    Thinning: 20-30% with MULTIPURPOSE THINNER 2005 (DILUENTE POLIVALENTE 2005)
    Recommended pressure: 3.5-4 atm
    Recommended nozzle diameter: 1.8 – 2.0 mm

    3.3) Application with airless sprayer (air less)


    Thinning: 10-15% with MULTIPURPOSE THINNER 2005

    Recommended pressure ratio 100 – 136 atm
    Recommended nozzle diameter: 0.4 – 0.5 mm

    3.6) Drying or hardening at 23 °C and 65% relative humidity.


    Dry dust free time: 8 - 10 minutes
    Surface dry or dry to touch time: 15-20 minutes
    Through drying time: 4 - 8 hours
    Dry to recoat time with NITROCELLULOSE FINISH FV 250 SERIES (FINITURA NITRO
    SERIE FV 250): minimum 15 hours after sanding.

    3.7) Tool cleaning:


    With ANTI-FOG NITROCELLULOSE THINNER 700 (DILUENTE NITRO ANTINEBBIA 700)

    4) STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

    Maximum storage temperature: 40 °C


    Minimum storage temperature: 5 °C
    Package formats available: 1 l – 5 l – 25 l

    5) SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
    Labelling in compliance with EC directives.
