Day 1
√
1. Let φ = 1+2 5 . Prove that every positive integer can be written as the sum of distinct
integral powers of φ.
2. Each of three lines cuts chords of equal lengths in two given circles. The points of
intersection of these lines form a triangle. Prove that the circumcircle of this triangle
passes through the midpoint of the segment joining the centres of the circles.
3. Let S be a set of n real numbers, and let C be an arbitrary real number. Prove that
n+1
there are at most 2n+1 subsets of S whose elements have sum C.

Day 2
1. There are n girls and n boys in a school class, where n is a positive integer. The
heights of all the children in this class are distinct. Every girl determines the number
of boys that are taller than her, subtracts the number of girls that are taller than her,
and writes the result on a piece of paper. Every boy determines the number of girls
that are shorter than him, subtracts the number of boys that are shorter than him,
and writes the result on a piece of paper. Prove that the integers written down by the
girls are the same as the integers written down by the boys (up to a permutation).
3. Points P and Q be lie inside triangle ABC, such that ∠BAP = ∠QAC, ∠CBP =
∠QBA and ∠ACP = ∠QCB. Side BC intersects circle (ACP ) and (AQB) at R
and S respectively. Prove that the circumcentre of (ASR) lies on the perpendicular
bisector of P Q.
