I have learned how to do the breakfall which is important for me as a beginner of jujitsu. First step on how
to properly break fall and doing viewing techniques to be comfortable on the ground. First, slap our feet
on the ground then use the arms and do the same thing with hands forward. Next, we do it both together.
Once we are comfortable doing this, proceed to the next step. Next step is rocking chair motions. We
need to rocks towards back. We need to do ten to fifty repetitions of rocking until we get comfortable
before we proceed to the next move. Next is we use rocking chair now we going to simultaneously slap at
amount of 45-degree angle palms towards the ground to create first breakfall motion. It’s important if we
do a breakfall chin stay stock in your chest, we form this on the ground and feet race on the mat and hand
fall. The next step is we need to be comfortable in standing the bottom of our feet to a squatting position,
now from the squat position we need to rock backwards and last but not the least we’re doing in the
stand-up position. It is important reminder that we need to stack our chin in our chest to prevent hitting
our head on the ground. This progression in doing breakfall from sitting, squatting and standing position
will help to us get confidence from falling backwards without having hurting ourself specially in the
beginning of jujitsu.
I also learn how to do the side falls or we referred to as a Japanese super wall gaming. I have learned how
to fall properly that is the most important thing to learn in our jujitsu training. Slapping our feet on the
ground in one side and also slapping the arms in one side on the ground then both together. Place our
hand 45 degree away from our body. The other hand will be resting in our stomach. The first step on
learning is to becoming comfortable on what you do. Repeat the side falls left to right and repeat in until
you get comfortable in lying position. Next, we will try on the squatting position, we need to kick our leg
out and fall with slapping your hand on the mat. Lastly, from the stand-up position, we need to squat
down and kick our feet on the side and fall with slapping our hand with the other hand is resting in our
stomach. I have also learned the rolls in doing jujitsu, I learned the straight forward roll, we need to bend
our knees, aligning elbows in our knees and roll in to our upper back then stand back up. Next is front
rolls, we need to drop our feet on the mat, create a line between the foot and our hand. Use the other
hand to roll and finish it to the kneeling position. As a beginner in jujitsu, I think the video presentation
help me to prepare my body to the intense training. The video provided me a safety method on how to
do fall and roll to prevent injury and by repetition it will improve my performance to the training session.
