    PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN STUDENT CENTRE

    ABSTRACT
    Due to high rate of growth of population In the institution congestion in terms of service delivery in
    the institution is being delayed ,therefor I propose to construct student center to provide ample rooms
    ,offices ,lecture room or classes .
    The student centre is often the centre of student affairs and activities and may house the offices of
    student government or other students groups I.e O.T.T.I council.
    In this process , I will do structural design ,soil testing ,survey work ,taking off ,estimating and costing
    of materials and architectural design .Design will be done so as not yield to future failure of the
    structure .soil testing will entail the following;proctor test to determine compaction;plastic index to
    determine moisture content of the soil .CBR to determine the strength of the soil.I will add salient
    features like stairs to access upper floors and washroom within the structure.
