NAME
OBJECTIVE
The overall objective of the group is to raise the member’s standard of living through self
help
a. To meet once every month to share and encourage one another on social issues.
Last Sunday of every month at 03:00 PM
b. To operate group projects as approved by all members in saving and investing
c. Raise money in form of member’s savings and investments
MEMBERSHIP
A member can resign from the group by giving a month written notice of the intended
resignation. The refunds to be given to the member in half and excludes the welfare
contributions. The refund will be made in less six month.
a. A member can be suspended on the grounds the members conduct has adversely
affected the reputation and dignity of the group
b. A meeting will be held to resolve by two thirds majority present whether to expel
or lift the suspension
c. Any person expelled from membership is entitled a refund of half of his total
contributions except welfare money
OFFICE BEARERS
The office bearers shall include three persons comprising of the following;
a. Chairman
b. Secretary
c. Treasurer
Chairman: provide leadership to the group and preside over all meetings unless
incapacitated.
Secretary: will be responsible for taking and keeping all minutes of the meeting.
Treasurer: treasurer shall receive and all messages of the money deposited and also
keep proper books of accounts
MEETINGS
All meetings are compulsory on agreed time and venue. Venue of the next meeting is
discussed in the current meetings and agreed by majority of members.
BANK ACCOUNT
CONTRIBUTIONS
a. Each member shall contribute a subscription fee of Ksh. 2,250 every month. The
contributions shall be deposited direct to the account on or before the last Sunday
of the month.
b. Any changes in the group contributions will be discussed and approved by the
members during a group meeting
c. Welfare contributions of Ksh. 2,000 will be sent direct to the treasurer Mpesa as
agreed by all the members.
DISSOLUTION
The decision to dissolve the group must be agreed by all members and at least with two
thirds majority. Reasons for dissolution include:
a. Voluntary withdrawal by all members reducing the number to very low and
members not agreeing
b. All business and group commitment must be resolved from within.
c. A notice of three months to be given to all concerned parties that transact with
the group.
The constitution may be amended from time to time by the group members
