B. Review of the Previous Lesson


Instruction: The teacher will asked the learners about their previous lesson.

C. Motivation – “4 pictures in 1”
Instruction: The teacher will show a different pictures that talk about communication.
Afterwards the teacher will ask the students about their insights of the picture.

Motive questions:
1. What have you observe in the pictures?
2. Do you think they are related to each other? Why?
3. What insights can you give to make this picture as one?

D. Lesson Proper

1. ACTIVITY – “ Draw Me”


Instruction: The teacher will divide the class into 5 groups. Each member has to
draw the picture. The person who drew picture will pat the next member's
shoulder and shows his picture. (Better to show it to the audience too.) The first
group who will give the correct drawing will get the score.

2. ANALYSIS
1. How would you describe good /effective communication?
2. Is there a way we can measure or assess effective communication?
3. Why do you need to understand the communication process?

3. Communication can be expressed through words (verbal), actions


(nonverbal), or both at the same time
Elements of communication
1. Speaker – the source of information or message
2. Message –the information, ideas, or thoughts, conveyed by the speaker in words
or in actions
3. Encoding – the process of conveying the message into words, action, or other
forms that the speaker understand
4. Channel – the medium or the means, such as personal or non-personal, verbal
or nonverbal in which the encoded message is conveyed
5. Decoding – the process of interpreting the encoded message of the speaker by
the receiver
6. Receiver –the recipient of the message, or someone who decodes the message
7. Feedback – the reactions, responses, or information provided by the receiver
8. Context – the environment where communication takes place
9. Barrier – the factors that affect the flow of communication

4. APPLICATION – “Plan it”


Instruction: The same groups. Each group will be given a specific theme and they
going to make a situation that shows the elements of communication. They only have
5 minutes to plan it.
Group1: School

Group 3: Grocery Store
Group 4: Mall

III. EVALUATION “Role Play”


Instruction: The teacher will let the learners perform a Role Play of their respective
task. Each group will only have 5 minutes to do it.

IV. ASSIGNMENT
Instruction: In a paragraph, Give your ideas in a statement below. Write it in a ½ sheet of
paper. “Communication is a social interaction through message.”
