The government has the power to act.

Poverty is always present in the challenges that most Filipinos encounter.


"Poverty is a decision, not fate," an unknown author once stated. No one
chooses to be poor; thus, there must be reasons why they have ended up in
this condition. Some people feel the government is to blame for the ever-
increasing number of poor people, but is this actually the case? They must
bear the brunt of the responsibility because they control all of our
country's assets.

   The government has a significant role to play. The government is


responsible for the economy's structure. The policies are set by the
government. The institutional structure is set by the government. As a result,
the government plays a significant role in reducing poverty. Some people
believe the government should do more, while others believe it should do less,
while yet others believe the government's current position is about right.

           We cannot deny the fact that the government has really something to
do in the growing number of poor people in the country. The officials have the
role to eliminate at least few of those who suffer. Those people in power
should learn how to properly allocate resources so that all will be given the
opportunity to prosper. As a matter of fact, the government planned to
eradicate poverty as stated in the Philippines Development Plan 2011-2016
(PDP). The PDP for those six years are an annual economic

            Poverty therefore is inevitable but can be controlled by the


government, at least lessen the growing number of the less- fortunate
community.  It affects the poor for they have little resources, this means that
poverty is an issue that’s harming poor people that want to get out of poverty,
but they can’t because they don’t always get to have the support of the
government. Even though there are a lot of people trying to stop poverty, it is
impossible to stop it without the support and power of the government, this is
because to fight poverty we have to fight it with a lot of money from the
government that could support us with this nee
