THE BULL 150 IS INTENDED FOR USE BY OPERATORS 16 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER. This ATV is not
a toy. Before you operate this ATV, you should understand the instructions and warnings in this
Owner’s Manual. Riders differ in skills, physical abilities and judgment, some adults may not be able
to operate an ATV safely.
The Bull 150 has multiple safety features including an adjustable speed limiter. We recommend that all beginners start with the
slowest setting first. The speed adjusting screw may be gradually adjusted as beginner becomes more familiar with operating this
ATV.
As a new owner of this vehicle, the ATV owner/driver and immediate family of this vehicle
TIP can enroll in a free hands-on training course. New purchasers of any new Tao Motor ATV models

SAFETY INFORMATION
Always avoid operating an ATV on any paved surfaces, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and streets.
Never operate an ATV on any public street, road or highway, even a dirt or gravel road. This ATV is designed and manufactured for
off Road use only no public roads.
Never operate an ATV without wearing an approved ATV/motorcycle helmet that fits properly. You should also wear eye
protection (goggles or face shield, gloves, boots, a long-sleeved shirt or a jacket, and long pants.
Never operate the ATV on hills too steep for the ATV or for your abilities. Practice on smaller hills before attempting larger hills.
Always conduct a pre-ride inspection and follow the proper maintenance schedule and procedures as shown in this manual.
Always keep both hands on the handlebars and both feet on the footrests of the ATV at all times when operation the vehicle.
Always follow proper procedures for turning as described in this manual. Practice turning at low speeds before attempting to turn faster
speeds and never turn at excessive speeds.
The fuel tank and carburetor should be drained for any long periods of storage and for winter storage of the vehicle.
Caution others near the vehicle not to get close to or touch any moving parts or any heated areas such as the engine and exhaust
pipe.
Avoid Carbon Monoxide Poisoning! All engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a deadly gas.
Breathing carbon monoxide can cause headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, confusion, and
eventually death. Carbon Monoxide is a colorless, odorless tasteless gas which may be present even if you
do not see or smell any engine exhaust. Deadly levels of carbon monoxide can collect rapidly and you can
quickly be overcome and unable to save yourself. Also, deadly levels of carbon monoxide can linger for
hours or days in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas.
If you experience any symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, leave the area immediately, get fresh air,
and SEEK MEDICAL TREATMENT.
Do not run engine indoors. Even if you try to ventilate engine exhaust with fans or open windows and
doors, carbon monoxide can rapidly reach dangerous levels.
Drain gasoline from the fuel tank and carburetor prior to transporting the ATV. Also for storage over 48hrs.
When transporting the ATV in another vehicle, be sure it is kept upright and that the fuel valve is in the off
position. Fuel may leak out of the carburetor or fuel tank cap.

CONTROL LAYOUT

IGNITION SWITCH
The positions of the ignition switch are as follows.
Ignition "ON" All electrical systems are supplied with power, and the engine can be
started. The key cannot be removed.
Ignition "OFF" All electrical systems are off. The key can be removed.

Push start button to crank the engine with starter. See the starting instructions on page 18 before
starting the engine.
HEADLIGHTS
This Bull 150 ATV is equipped with High, Low, headlight features.
When ignition key is set to the " On " potion press the headlight switch to turn on headlights and to
toggle through modes.
Never operate this ATV with headlights set to "Low" mode. Always 1. Headlight Hi/Low Switch

THROTTLE
Once the engine is running, push the throttle lever to increase the engine speed. Regulate the speed of the ATV by varying the throttle
position. The throttle lever is spring-loaded to return to the start position when let go. Before starting the engine, make sure the throttle
lever is smooth in operation and will return to the start position. If throttle lever is not smooth in operation or will not return to start
position do not start engine.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
The Instrument cluster displays important information about the ATV. Make sure the rider is familiar with all the
information displayed before riding ATV.
When “D” is displayed on the instrument panel the forward gear in engaged.
When “R” is displayed on the instrument panel the reverse gear in engaged.
When “N” is displayed on the instrument panel the neutral gear in engaged.
The ignition switch must be set to the "ON" position for the instrument cluster to display
NOTICE any icons.

SPEED LIMITER
The Bull 150 ATV is equipped with a vehicle speed limiter adjusting screw. Beginning riders should start with
slowest setting to learn how to control this vehicle. Once the operator has demonstrated mastery of the ATV,
the supervising adult can adjust speed limiter screw to increase the top speed . The vehicle speed limiter keeps
the throttle from fully opening, even when the throttle lever is pushed to the maximum. The adjusting
screw may be gradually turned out as the beginner becomes more familiar with operating this ATV.
NOTICE The adjustable speed limiter screw must be installed for operation. Failure to install a speed limiter
screw may result in water or dirt ingestion and potential damage to the vehicle.

PARKING BRAKE
Use the parking brake before starting the engine or after parking the ATV, especially on a slope. This ATV is equipped with front axle
parking brake.
To set parking brake: Apply the front brake lever, push down the lock button and release brake lever to set parking brake.
To release parking brake: Apply the front brake lever to release the parking brake. The spring loaded parking brake button will return to
off position.
Always set the parking brake before starting the engine. The ATV could start moving unexpectedly if
the parking brake is not applied. This could cause loss of control or a collision. Always be sure you
have released the parking brake before you begin riding. The brakes could overheat if you ride the
ATV without releasing the parking brake. You could lose control or cause an accident.

FUEL TANK CAPACITY
Gasoline and gasoline vapors are extremely flammable. To avoid fires, explosions and to reduce the risk
of injury when refueling, follow these instructions.
1. Before refueling, turn off the engine and be sure that no one is sitting on the vehicle. Never
refuel while smoking or while in the vicinity of sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
such as the pilot light of water heaters and clothes dryers.
2. Do not overfill the fuel tank. When refueling, be sure to insert the pump nozzle into the fuel
tank filler hole. Stop filling when the fuel reaches the bottom of the filler tub. Because fuel
expands when it heats up, outside heat can cause fuel to expand and overflow fuel tank.
If any fuel spills during fueling please wipe quickly, fuel may deteriorate plastic body.

FUEL TANK CAP
Remove the fuel tank cap by turning it counter clockwise.
Turn the fuel tank cap fully clockwise to make sure it is securely closed
Your ATV’s engine has been designed to use regular unleaded gasoline with a pump
octane number of 91 or higher.
Using Ethanol-added fuel may lead to carburetor clogging due to the fuel’s sulfuric
content reacting with brass and aluminum components in the fuel system. Tao Motor
always recommends using a fuel stabilizer to help mitigate damaging corrosion. Visit
your dealer to purchase recommended stabilizers and lubricants.

SEAT
To Remove Seat
To remove the seat, pull the seat lock lever (#1) backward and then pull up the seat. The seat lock is located under the seat in
the back of the ATV.
To Install Seat
Insert tab (#3) on the front of the seat into the seat holder (#2) and push down on the seat at the rear. Make sure that the seat is
securely installed in place and will not move during operation.

BATTERY
Battery Removal
1. Make sure the ignition switch is set to the "OFF" position.
2. Remove seat
3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery by unscrewing battery terminal bolt.
4. Disconnect the positive cable from the battery by unscrewing battery terminal bolt.
5. Remove battery from battery tray.
Battery Installation
1. Insert battery into battery tray with battery terminal nuts and bolts already
installed on the battery.
2. Remove battery terminal bolts.
3. Connect positive cable and re-screw battery terminal bolt.
4. Connect negative cable and re-screw battery terminal bolt. Battery ( 9 Amp )
5. Reinstall seat.
This Bull 150 ATV has two positive (+) cables red in
TIP color. Both attach to positive terminal on the battery.
Battery electrolyte is poisonous and dangerous, acid contains sulfuric acid, which can cause severe burns. Avoid contact with skin, eyes
or clothing. Always shield your eyes when working near batteries.
EXTERNAL: Flush with water.
INTERNAL: Call a physician Immediately and get medical attention.
EYES: Rush with water for 15 minutes and get prompt medical attention.
Batteries produce explosive gases. Keep sparks, flame, cigarettes or other sources of ignition away. Ventilate when charging or using in
an enclosed space.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

BATTERY CHARGING
1. Before charging the battery, set ignition key to the" OFF" position.
2. Remove seat.
3. Attach battery charger clamps to battery terminals.
4. Connect low-voltage battery charger to AC outlet. Use GFI AC Type outlet if possible for
additional electrical safety.
5. Check charging level and if charging is complete every 4 to 8 hours to prevent dangerous
overcharging of battery.
6. When charging complete unplug battery charger from wall outlet.
7. Disconnect battery charger cables from battery terminals.
8. Reinstall seat.
CHANGING FUSE
The fuse box is located under the seat in front of the battery.

If a fuse continues to blow, contact your local Tao Motor dealer to check for
electrical repair.
Always use a fuse of the specified rating. Never use any substitute fuses or larger amp fuses than the
original rated fuels. Any improper fuse or substitute fuse can cause electrical damage or fire and will
invalidate your vehicle's warranty.

PRE-RIDE SAFETY CHECKS
Inspect the ATV prior to each use to ensure it is in a safe operating condition. Always follow the inspections, procedures and
schedules described in the Owner’s Manual.
Failure to inspect or maintain the vehicle properly increases the possibility of an accident or
equipment failure. Do not operate the vehicle if any problem is discovered. If a problem cannot
be corrected by the procedures described in this manual, have the vehicle inspected by a Tao
Motor dealer.

FUEL
Make sure that there is sufficient fuel in the tank. Never overfill fuel tank.
ENGINE OIL
Make sure that the engine oil is at the specified type. Follow manual's specifications, keep filled as needed, but never overfill.
AIR FILTER: The air filter has an oiled foam element. It must be inspected daily or more frequently when riding in dusty
conditions. It should be cleaned and re-lubed whenever it appears dry or visible dirt is present. Refer to page 51-52 for
instructions and recommended lubricants. A dry or dirty air filter can allow dirt to enter the engine. Engine damage due to
improper air filter maintenance is not covered under warranty.
DRIVE CHAIN: The drive chain should be inspected daily. If it appears dry or has excessive slack, it must be adjusted and
lubricated. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for instructions and recommended lubricants.

FRONT & REAR BRAKES
BRAKE OPERATION
Test the brakes at slow speed after starting out to make sure they are working properly. If the brakes do not provide proper braking
performance, check the brake pads for wear.
THROTTLE LEVER
Check the operation of the throttle lever. It must open smoothly and spring back to the idle position when released.
If throttle is not operating properly DO NOT START ENGINE. Have a Tao Motor dealer correct the issue before operating this ATV.
SWITCHES
Check to ensure all switches are working properly before starting the engine.
DRIVE CHAIN
Check the condition of the drive chain and check the drive chain slack. Lubricate and adjust the drive chain as necessary.

TIRES
Check tire pressure with tire gauge to make sure that both front tires and rear tires are equally inflated and meet the recommended
PSI specifications. All Tao Motor ATVs are installed with tubeless, low-pressure ATV tires.
CHASSIS FASTENERS
Make sure that all nuts, bolts and screws are properly tightened before starting engine.

STARTING ENGINE (COLD)
1. Set the parking brake. (The engine can be started only when the front / rear brake lever is applied)
2. Turn the fuel valve lever to the "ON" position.
3. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
4. Set "RUN" position on main switch.
5. Set gear box to neutral position. The neutral position light will illuminate on instrument cluster.
6. Press and hold the start button until the engine starts. Never hold the start button for more than 10 seconds per try. It may be
necessary to push the throttle lever a small amount to start the engine.
7. Release the parking brake.
TIP The design of this ATV is utilizing an automatic choke. No choke lever is needed.

ENGINE BREAK-IN
Proper engine break-in will increase the lifespan of your Tao Motor vehicle ATV. The engine break-in period is the initial
20 hours of operation. You should avoid maintaining a constant engine RPM and do not operate your ATV above 1/2 throttle
during the break-in period. Do not operate your ATV at full throttle during the break-in period.
First service, including the break-in service work should be performed at 10 hours. The second service
NOTICE should be performed at the end of the 20-hour break-in period. Subsequent service work should be
performed after every 20 hours of operation.
To prevent burns, avoid touching the exhaust system. Park the ATV in a place where pedestrians or children are not likely to touch it.

PARKING
When parking the ATV: First apply the brake lever, stop the engine, apply the parking brake, and then set the fuel valve to “OFF”
position. Never park the ATV on hills that are too steep to walk up easily.
CARGO RACK
Cargo rack can carry a maximum of 22 lbs. and should never be overloaded. Use caution when loading the cargo rack and make sure
cargo is secured with tie downs to prevent load shift.
NOTICE Overloading your Bull 150 could cause a lack of control resulting in severe injury or death.

GEAR SELECTOR LEVER
GEAR SELECTOR LEVER
This ATV is equipped with a 2 gear transmission gearbox, the gear shift lever is located on the right side of the ATV.
When changing the transmission position, first apply the brakes to come to a complete stop, before moving the lever to the desired
position.
To Engage Forward Gear: From "Neutral" move shifter lever to the right then push forward to lock lever in drive position.
To Engage Reverse Gear: From "Neutral" move shifter lever to the right then pull back to lock lever in reverse position.
If the shifter lever will not move easily to another gear position, rock the ATV back and forth slightly to

When “D” is displayed on the instrument panel the forward gear in engaged.

NOTICE
Always completely stop the ATV and apply
the brakes prior to moving the transmission lever
from neutral to reverse or neutral to drive.

THROTTLE CABLE
Throttle cable inspection
Inspect throttle cable for excessive wear, kinking or fraying. Ensure cable moves freely.
NOTE The throttle cable must be replaced if any signs of wear, fraying or other damages found.
NOTE Please check with Tao Motor dealer if throttle cable adjustment can not be adjusted properly.
TIP Lubricate cable using silicone cable lubricant to reduce premature wear and to ensure proper movement of
the cable.
To adjust throttle cable,
1. Pull rubber dust covers back to inspect and adjust throttle cable.
2. Loosen lock nut.
3. Turn throttle cable adjuster to make proper adjustments of throttle cable.
4. Tighten locking nut and reinstall rubber dust cable covers.

FRONT BRAKE LEVER
Recommended brake service by certified Tao Motor technician. See your Tao Motor Dealer for details.
Operating with improperly adjusted brakes could lead to a loss in braking ability and or cause an
accident. Brakes can become very hot during prolonged braking or use. Never touch brakes until they are
cool.
How to adjust front brake lever free-play.
The front brake lever freeplay must be checked and if necessary adjusted at the intervals specified in the periodic
maintenance and lubrication chart. The brake lever freeplay should measure 9.3-13.3 mm (0.37-0.52 in) as shown.

FRONT BRAKE LEVER FREEPLAY LOWER ADJUSTMENT
If the upper brake cable adjuster is threaded out to it's near limits, or
the correct freeplay cannot be obtained, attempt to adjustment with
the lower cable adjustment.
Brake fluid replacement or brake system maintenance and repairs should be performed by an authorized
Tao Motor dealer.
NOTICE The brakes can be very hot after prolong use of the vehicle and can cause burns. Wait for the brakes to cool
down.
The rear brake system is a hydraulic type and no adjustment is required. Use the following checklist before each use to maintain the
brake system in good operation condition;
-Brake Fluid level
-Brake system for fluid leaks
-Brake cleanliness
-Brake disk for excessive wear and surface condition.
-Brake pads for wear, damage or looseness.

Have your local Tao Motor dealer inspect brakes system for wear or damage.
NOTICE Always contact your local Tao Motor Dealer if you have any concerns after inspecting your brake
system for wear or damage.
Recommended Brake Fluid
Always use brake fluid type DOT 3 or 4.
The Reservoir is full when the fluid reaches the top of the window. A low fluid level may indicate leaks or

REAR FOOT BRAKE LEVER HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
It is recommended that brake service is conducted by a certified Tao Motor technician. See your Tao Motor Dealer for details.
Operating the vehicle with improperly adjusted brakes can lead to a loss in braking stopping ability and
can cause an accident. Brakes can become very hot during prolonged braking or use. Never touch brakes
until they are cool.
The rear brake lever's reach should be checked and then adjusted at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication
chart. The brake lever reach should measure from the top of the foot rest to the top of the lowest extension of the lever 88.9 mm (3.50 in)
as shown. To adjust rear brake lever:
1. Loosen locknut (#2)
2. Remove clevis clip cotter pin (Not shown).
3. Remove clevis clip pin (#4).
4. Move clevis clip away from brake lever (#3).
5. Turn clevis clip (#3) clockwise to raise brake lever or counter clockwise to lower the lever.
6. Move clevis clip into position and realign with brake lever.
7. Reinstall clevis clip pin (#4) and cotter pin.
8. Tighten lock nut (#2).

ENGINE IDLE ADJUSTMENT
If it is necessary to adjust the carburetor idle screw due to changed outside environmental conditions, to adjust carburetor
idle screw as follows;
1. Apply parking brake.
2. Warm up the engine by running the vehicle.
3. Adjust the carburetor idle screw until the desired idle RPM is reached. Turning the idle screw in (clockwise) to raise RPM.
Turning the screw out (counterclockwise) will lower RPM.
4. The standard idle RPM is 1700 ±150.

CARBURETOR FUEL DRAIN SCREW
Tao Motor recommends using a fuel stabilizer at all times to prevent the buildup of residue from stale or deteriorated fuel. If the vehicle
is not in operation for 48 hrs. or more fuel residue can form in jets and passages causing the vehicle not to start. Tao Motor recommends
to drain the fuel from carburetor and fuel tank system. To drain carburetor as follows;
Engine and exhaust system must be cold and be in a well ventilated area.
1. Place the ATV on a level surface and set parking brake.
2. Set Ignition to " OFF " position.
3. Set fuel valve to " ON " position.
4. Place a pan under the engine to collect used fuel.
5. Turn the carburetor fuel drain screw counterclockwise until fuel start to drain out form
the carburetor drain hose. Do not take out the drain screw from the carburetor drain
valve.
6. Allow all the fuel from the fuel tank and carburetor too completely to drain out.
7. Pour all the unused fuel in a sealed fuel container for later use.
8. Set fuel valve to "OFF" position.
9. Tighten (turn clockwise) the carburetor fuel drain screw.
10. Start engine to burn any remaining fuel left in the carburetor or fuel line.
NOTICE The suspension was pre-set at the factory, but can be adjusted with a special suspension adjustment
tool available for purchase at your Tao Motor dealer.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR ATV

This ATV is intended for use by operators 16 years of age
and older. Adult supervision is required while a child
operates any ATV.
l Do not operate this ATV or allow anyone else to operate it without proper
Instruction. The risk of an accident is greatly increased if the operator does not
know how to operate the ATV properly in different situations and on different
types of terrain.
l Do not operate this ATV at speeds too fast for your skills or the conditions, as
this increases your chances of losing control of the ATV and an accident.
Always go at a speed that is proper for the terrain, visibility and operating
conditions, and your experience.
l This ATV is intended for recreational use by operators 16 years old and older, under adult supervision. This
section, “Getting to know your ATV,” provides general riding instructions which are appropriate for most types
of riding. Riding your ATV requires special skills acquired through practice over a period of time. Take the
time to learn the basic techniques well before attempting more difficult maneuvers. It is essential to
familiarize yourself with the operation of the ATV to achieve the skill necessary to enjoy riding safely. Before
you begin to ride, be sure you have read this manual completely and understand how to operate all of the
ATV’s controls. Pay particular attention to the safety Information and all notice and warning labels on the
vehicle.
Riding your ATV requires skills acquired through practice over a period of time. Become
TIP familiar with riding this ATV by riding at slow speeds first, even if you have experience
riding other ATVs. Do not attempt to operate it at higher performance levels until you
are familiar with this ATV’s handling and performance characteristics. Take the time to
learn the basic techniques well before attempting more difficult maneuvers.

Never carry a passenger. Carrying a passenger on this ATV greatly reduces your ability
to balance and control this ATV. You could have an accident, resulting in severe injury
or death to you and/or your passenger. The long seat is to allow the operator to shift
position as needed during operation. It is not for carrying passengers.
Operating without eye protection can result in an accident and increases your chances of
a severe injury in the event of an accident.

DURING RIDING
Always keep your feet on the foot boards during operation; otherwise, they may contact the rear wheels.
Removing even one hand or foot can reduce your ability to control the ATV or could
cause you to lose your balance and fall off of the ATV. If you remove a foot from a foot
board, your foot or leg may come into contact with the rear wheels, which could injure
you or cause an accident.
Do not ride on any public road, street, or highway. Riding on public roads can result in collisions with other vehicles. It is
illegal to operate ATVs on public streets, roads and highways in many states.

Never operate this ATV on any public street, road or highway, even a dirt or gravel one.
You could collide with another vehicle. Know the terrain where you ride. Ride cautiously
in unfamiliar areas. Stay alert for holes, rocks, or roots in the terrain, and other hidden
hazards which may cause the ATV to upset.
The ATV could go out of control if you do not have enough time to react to hidden rocks,
bumps, or holes. Go slowly and be extra careful when operating on unfamiliar terrain.
Always be alert to changing terrain conditions when operating the ATV.
Do not operate on rough, slippery, or loose terrain until you have learned and practiced the
skills necessary to control the ATV on such terrain. Always be especially cautious on these
kinds of terrain.
Failure to use extra care when operating on excessively rough, slippery, or loose terrain
could cause loss of traction or ATV control, which could result in an accident, including an
overturn.

When riding in an area where you might not easily be seen, such as desert terrain, mount a caution flag on the ATV.
DO NOT use the flag pole bracket as a trailer hitch.
You could collide with another vehicle if operating in off-road areas where you cannot
easily be seen. Mount a caution flag on the ATV to make you more visible. Watch
carefully for other vehicles do not ride in areas posted “no trespassing.” Do not ride on
private property without getting permission.
Set the parking brake and follow the instruction on page 7 & 18 to start the engine.
Once it has warmed up you are ready to begin riding your ATV. Remember that the
engine and exhaust pipe will be hot when riding and afterwards; do not allow skin or
clothing to come in contact with these components.
When slowing down or stopping, release the throttle and apply the brakes smoothly
and evenly. Improper use of the brakes can cause the tires to lose traction, reducing
control and increasing the possibility of an accident.

STEERING YOUR ATV
To achieve maximum traction while riding off road, the two rear wheels turn together at the same speed. Therefore, unless the wheel on
the inside of the turn is allowed to slip or lose some traction, the ATV will resist turning. A special turning technique must be used to
allow the ATV to make turns quickly and easily.
It is essential that this skill be learned first at low speed.
As you approach a curve, slow down and begin to turn the handlebars in the desired direction. As you do so, put your weight on the foot
board to the outside of the turn (opposite your desired direction and lean your upper body into the turn. Use the throttle to maintain an
even speed through the turn. This maneuver will let the wheel on the inside of the turn slip slightly, allowing the ATV to make the turn
properly
This procedure should be practiced at slow speed many times in a large off-road area with no obstacles. If an incorrect technique is used,
your ATV may continue to go straight. If the ATV doesn’t turn, come to a stop and then practice the procedure again. If the riding surface
is slippery or loose, it may help to position more of your weight over the front wheels by moving forward on the seat.
Once you have learned this technique, you should be able to perform it at higher speeds or in tighter curves.
Improper riding procedures such as abrupt throttle changes, excessive braking, incorrect body movements, or too much speed for the
sharpness of the turn may cause the ATV to tip. If the ATV begins to tip over to the outside while negotiating a turn, lean more to the
inside. It may also be necessary to gradually let off on the throttle and steer to the outside of the turn to avoid tipping over.

Avoid higher speeds until you are thoroughly familiar with the operation of your ATV. Do not
attempt to climb hills until you have mastered basic maneuvers on flat ground. Always check
the terrain carefully before attempting any hill. In all cases avoid inclines with slippery or loose
surfaces, or obstacles that might cause you to lose control.
UPHILL RIDING
To climb a hill, you need traction, momentum and steady throttle. Travel fast enough to maintain momentum, but not
so fast that you cannot react to changes in the terrain as you climb.
If you are climbing a hill and you find that you have not properly judged your ability to make it to the top, you should
turn the ATV around while you still have forward motion (provided you have the room to do so) and go down the hill If
your ATV has stalled or stopped and you believe you can continue up the hill, restart carefully to make sure you do not lift
the front wheels which could cause you to lose control. If you are unable to continue up the hill, dismount the ATV on the
uphill side. Physically turn the ATV around and then descend the hill.
If you start to roll backwards, DO NOT apply the brakes abruptly. Apply only the front brake. When fully
stopped, apply the rear brake as well, and then lock the parking brake. The ATV could easily tip over
backwards so immediately dismount the ATV on the uphill side or to the left-hand side when the ATV is
pointed straight uphill. If possible, get help to turn the ATV around and then remount it when safe and ride
downhill carefully as explained in the next section.

Stalling, rolling backwards or improperly dismounting while climbing a hill could result in
ATV overturning. If you cannot control the ATV, dismount immediately on the uphill side.
DOWNHILL RIDING
When riding your ATV downhill, shift your weight as far to the rear and uphill side
of the ATV as possible. Move back on the seat and sit with your arms straight.
Engine compression will do most of the braking for you.
Whenever possible, ride your ATV straight downhill. Avoid sharp angles which
could allow the ATV to tip or roll over. Carefully choose your path and ride no
faster than you will be able to react to obstacles which may appear.
As you travel across a slope, lean your body in the uphill direction. It may be necessary to correct the steering when
riding on loose surfaces by pointing the front wheels slightly uphill. When riding on slopes, be sure not to make sharp
turns either up or down hill. If your ATV does begin to tip over, gradually steer in the downhill direction if there are no
obstacles in your path. As you regain proper balance, gradually steer again in the direction you wish to travel.

WATER CROSSINGS
The ATV can be used to cross slow moving, shallow water of up to a maximum of 11 cm (3 in) in depth. Before entering the
water, choose your path carefully. Enter where there is no sharp drop off, and avoid rocks or other obstacles which may be
slippery or upset the ATV. Drive slowly and carefully.
Test your brakes after leaving the water. If necessary, apply them several times to let friction dry out the linings. Do not
continue to ride your ATV without verifying that you have regained proper braking ability.
Wet brakes may have reduced stopping ability, which could cause loss of control. After
riding your ATV in water, be sure to drain any potentially trapped water by removing the
air filer case.
Care should be used when riding on loose or slippery surfaces since the ATV may slide. Unexpected or uncorrected sliding
can lead to an accident. You reduce the tendency of front wheel sliding by positioning your body weight forward towards
the front of the vehicle while remaining seated.
If your rear wheels start to slide in a sideway motion, you may be able to regain control by steering in the opposite
direction. Applying the brakes quickly or accelerating when sliding out of control is not recommended until you have
corrected the slide.

CARBURETOR: Tao Motor recommends using a fuel stabilizer at all times to prevent the buildup of residue from stale or deteriorated fuel. If the
vehicle is not in operation for 20 days or more fuel residue can form in jets and passages causing the vehicle not to start.
BATTERY: The battery should be charged with a trickle charger when the vehicle is not in regular use. Otherwise, it may discharge and become
damaged from sulfation. Batteries are not covered under the vehicle warranty.

ENGINE OIL
The engine oil level should be checked before each ride. In addition, always follow the maintenance schedule for oil changes as shown in
the maintenance schedule.
Your new vehicles engine comes with shipping oil, shipping oil must be changed before the engine is

TIP If the engine was started before checking the oil level, be sure to warm up the engine sufficiently, and
then wait at least ten minutes until the oil settles for an accurate reading.

NOTICE: When removing the engine oil drain plug the oil filter retainer spring and oil screen
may fall out. Take care not to lose these parts.
NOTICE: Before installing the engine oil drain plug, be sure to install the 0-ring in clean
and in good working condition.
To prevent burns, avoid touching hot exhaust system. Wait till engine assembly is cold before any service
is performed.
TIP Always replace exhaust gasket when removing exhaust pipe. Never reuse exhaust gasket.

CLEANING AIR FILTER ELEMENT
The air filter element should be serviced at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart.
Clean and replace as needed. Clean and replace air filter more frequently if used in dusty or dirty areas.
Never use low-flash-point solvents or gasoline to clean the air filter element because the engine could
catch fire or explode.
Make sure that the air filter element is properly seated in the air filter case. Never operate the engine with
NOTICE the air filter element removed. This will allow unfiltered air to enter the engine, causing rapid engine wear
and possible engine damage. Additionally, operation without the air filter element will affect carburetor
jetting with subsequent poor performance and possible engine overheating.

The air filter element should be replaced every 20-40 hours. It should be replaced more often if the ATV is operated In extremely dusty
areas. When servicing the air filter element, be sure to check the air inlet of the air filter case for obstructions.
1. Park the ATV on a level surface and set parking brake.
2. Remove the left side foot rest and mounting hardware.
3. Loosen air filter box outlet tube clamp (#1).
4. Disconnect air filter box outlet tube away from carburetor.
5. Disconnect PCV tube and clamp from air filter box (#2).
6. Disconnect gear box vent tube and clamp from air filter box (#3).
7. Remove the two air filter box mounting hardware.
8. Remove air filter box from ATV.
9. Remove air filter lid by removing the four Phillips screws (#5).
10. Remove the air filter element and clean surrounding area.
11. Clean Air filter element with foam air filter cleaning solution.
12. Check the air filter element and replace it if damaged.
13. Apply air filter oil on to foam element.
14. Insert air filter element into air filter housing.

Checking the spark plug
The spark plug is an important engine component, which is easy to check. The spark plug should be removed and checked in
accordance with the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart.
To remove the spark plug
1. Remove the spark plug cap.
2. Remove the spark plug as shown, with the spark plug wrench included in the owner's tool kit.
3. Turn the spark wrench counterclockwise wise to loosen and remove the spark plug.

Checking Drive Chain Slack
The drive chain slack should be checked before each ride.
How to check for drive chain slack;
Improper drive chain slack will overload the engine as well as other parts of the ATV. To prevent this from
NOTICE occurring, keep the drive chain slack within the specified limits.
TIP When checking and adjusting drive chain slack, always check without any weight on vehicle and all tires
are on even surface area.
TIP Always use high quality all-condition lube that is compatible with all O-ring and non-O-ring chains.

CHECKING WHEEL HUB BEARINGS
Wheel hub bearings must me checked at the intervals as shown in the periodic maintenance chart.
With the ATV placed on a level surface, move the top of the tire forward and backwards towards the
ATV to feel any play in the hub bearings. If bearing play is present or the wheel is not turning
smoothly contact your local Tao Motor dealer.
DIRECTIONAL TIRES
The Bull 150 is equipped with directional tires, directional tread pattern is designed to
roll only in one direction. Lateral grooves on both sides of the tire point toward the
center, creating a " V " shape. The " V " shape must be pointing forward on each tire.

ADJUSTING STEERING TOE-IN
Adjusting wheel toe-in makes a huge difference in handling characteristic. Proper wheel toe-in is required for both safety and
performance. It's easy enough to determine if your front end is out of alignment. Your ATV should steer straight and not drift or pull to
one side.
How to check Wheel Toe-in
1. Place the ATV on a level surface.
2. Check tire pressure on all tires.
3. Position handlebar assembly and wheels straight ahead. Use tie downs straps to lock handlebar in
position.
4. Mark both front tires tread centers with chalk.
5. Measure the width "A" between the marks.
6. Rotate the front tires 180 until the marks are exactly opposite one another.
7. Measure the width "B" between the marks. Recommended
8. Calculate the toe-in. Toe-in = "B"-"A" Toe-in 15mm (0.59 in)
9. If toe-in is incorrect adjustment is needed.
Adjusting Toe-in
1. Mark both tie-rods ends. This measurement will be needed during
adjustment.
2. Loosen the locknuts on tie-rod ends (#1).
3. The same number of turns should be given to both the right and
left tie-rod (#2) until the specified toe-in is obtained. This is to keep
the length of the tie-rods the same.
4. Tighten the tie-rod end locknuts of both tie rods. 35Nm / 25.3ft/lbs.
After adjusting the toe-in to specification,
ride the ATV at slow speed for some distance
to verify adjustments are correct. If any
questions call your local Tao Motor dealer.
TIP Adjust the rod so that (C) and (D) are equal.

CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
Do not modify any component of the CVT system.
The CVT system has been precision balanced any modification will cause the system to be out of balance, creating vibration and
additional loads on components. The CVT system rotates at high speeds, creating large amounts of force on clutch components. As
the owner, you have the following responsibilities for your own safety and the safety of others.
Belt Replacement
If a belt fails, always clean any debris from the duct and from the clutch and engine compartments when replacing the belt.
Failure to remove ALL debris when replacing the belt could result in vehicle damage, loss of control and
severe injury or death.
1. Allow hot components to cool before performing this procedure.
2. Remove left side foot rest mounting hardware and foot rest.
3. Remove CVT belt cover by unscrew the (8mm) hex head bolts.
4. Clean all debris from CVT engine compartment.
5. Remove variator nut (17mm) and spacer.
6. Remove variator fan pulley.
TIP When removing variator fan pulley hold variator housing pulley in place. If variator housing pulley
is moved variator weights may fall out of place.
TIP Due to use variator weights are needed to be inspected. Result of normal wear or aging.
1. Unscrew the 3(4mm) allen bolts (#4) securing the muffler end cap to muffler by using a 4mm allen socket wrench.
2. Unscrew the 3 Phillips screws (#5) securing spark arrester to muffler.
3. Carefully remove the spark arrester from the muffler assembly.
4. Remove accumulated carbon on the spark arrestor screen with soap and water and remove hard to remove carbon carefully
with a brass wire brush and then rinse and dry the spark arrestor.
5. Check the spark arrestor for damage, and replace it if necessary.
6. Install the 3 Phillips screws (#5)and tighten them to the specified torque.
7. Install the 3(4mm) allen bolts (#4) securing the muffler end cap to the muffler and tighten them to the specified torque.
Tightening Torque: Muffler End Cap:

WASHING VEHICLE
We recommend the use of a garden hose to wash your Bull 150. High pressure washers can damage certain parts of your ATV.
If you use a high pressure washer, avoid spraying the following areas:
- Muffler outlet
- Under seat area
- Engine stop button
- Brake master cylinder
- Drive chain
- Carburetor
- Wheel hubs
- Decals
1. Rinse your ATV thoroughly with cool water to remove loose dirt.
2. Fill a bucket with cool water. Mix in a mild, neutral detergent, such as dish washing liquid or a product made especially for washing
motorcycles or automobiles.
3. Wash your motorcycle with a sponge or a soft towel. As you wash, check for heavy grime. If necessary, use a mild cleaner/degreaser to
remove the grime.
4. After washing, rinse your ATV thoroughly with plenty of clean water to remove any residue.
5. Dry your ATV with a soft towel.
6. Lubricate the drive chain to prevent rusting.
7. Start the engine and let it idle for several minutes. The engine heat will help dry moist areas.
8. As a precaution, ride at a slow speed and apply the brakes several times. This will help dry the brakes and restore normal braking
performance.

What kind of oil do I use?
15W-40 4-Stroke ATV Conventional Oil.
Below is the emission control system warranty printed in the owner’s manual, the copy of the owner’s manual is available upon
your request.
The California Air Resources Board, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Tao Motor Inc. (hereinafter “Tao Motor” are pleased to explain the
emission control system warranty on your 2019 Model Year ATV. New vehicle must be designed, built and equipped to meet U.S. EPA Federal and California
emission standards over the full useful life of 10,000 km or 60 months which comes firs.
Tao Motor must warrant the emission control system on your vehicle for 5,000 km or for 30 months, whichever comes firs, provided that there has been no
abuse, neglect or improper maintenance of your vehicle.
Your emission control system may include parts such as the carburetor or fuel injection system, the ignition system, catalytic converter and engine
computer, if it is equipped.
Also included may be hoses, belts, connectors and other emission-related assemblies.
Where a warrantable condition exists, Tao Motor will repair your vehicle at no cost to you, including diagnosis, parts and labor.
If an emission-related part on your vehicle is defective, the part will be repaired or replaced by Tao Motor. This is your emission control system defects
warranty.
NOTICE! Use of any Tao Motor vehicles in any type of competitive event completely and absolutely voids this and all other warranties offered by Tao Motor.
As the vehicle owner, you are responsible for the performance of the required maintenance listed in your owner’s manual. Tao Motor recommends that
you retain all receipts covering maintenance on your vehicle, but Tao Motor cannot deny warranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your failure to ensure
the performance of all scheduled maintenance.

individual, using any replacement part. The manufacturer will reimburse the owner for the expenses, including diagnostic charges by
filling out “Emission Control System Warranty Reimbursement Form” downloadable at www.taomotor.com under Warranty Section. In
order to receive compensation, the owner may reasonably be required to keep receipts and failed parts and send to Tao Motor Inc.,
2201 Luna Road, Carrollton, TX, 75006 or e-mail to [email protected]
If you are unable to obtain warranty service, or are dissatisfied with the warranty service you received, contact the owner of the
dealership involved. Normally this should resolve your problem. However, if you require further assistance, write or call the Tao Motor
Inc. Customer Service Department.
I. Limitations This Emission Control System Warranty shall not cover any of the following:
A. Repair or replacement as a result of
(1) accident,
(2) misuse,
(3) repairs improperly performed or replacements improperly installed,
(4) use of replacement parts or accessories not conforming to Tao Motor’s specifictions which adversely affect performance
and/or use in competitive racing or related events.
B. Inspections, replacement of parts and other services and adjustments required for required maintenance.
C. Any vehicle equipped with an odometer or hour meter on which the odometer mileage or hour meter reading has been
changed so that actual mileage cannot be readily determined.

B. No express emission control system warranty is given by us except as specifically set forth herein. Any emission control system
warranty implied by law, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness or a particular purpose, is limited to the express
emission control system warranty terms stated in this warranty. The foregoing statements of warranty are exclusive and in line of
all other remedies. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts so the above limitations may not
apply to you. No dealer is authorized to modify this Tao Motor Limited Emission Control System Warranty.
IV. Legal Rights. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
V. This emission control system warranty is in addition to the standard limited warranty for all vehicles.
VI. Additional Information. Any replacement part that is equivalent in performance and durability may be used in the performance of
any maintenance or repairs. However, Tao Motor is not liable for these parts. The owner is responsible for the performance of all
required maintenance. Such maintenance may be performed at a service establishment or by any individual. The warranty period
begins on the date the motorcycle is delivered to an ultimate purchaser.
