5. Remote Control Set Up &Notes
Battery Installation
1. Release the side latch and pull out the battery holder.
2. Install only a 3 volts CR2025 battery cell and place battery polarity + respectively to
the + sign of the holder.
3. Replace the battery holder.

Corrosion, oxidation, battery-leakage and any other gradually acidic defect of this nature will
invalidate the guarantee.
Notes:
1. Use only the size and type of battery specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the
battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
3. Don't drop, step or hit the remote control, these may cause inner damage or
malfunctions.
4. If not using for a long period of time, remove the battery to avoid possible damage due
to battery leakage.

Remote control effective range:


Aim the remote control at the unit IR receiver. The distance to the unit should be less than
5 meters and within ±30°(no obstacle’s).

The remote control may be less effective if:


1. Unit is placed under intense ambient lighting.
2. There are obstacles between the remote control
and IR receiver.
3. Other remote controls are operated at the same
time.
4. Low battery.

8. Wireless transmitter connection

Don’t connect the iPod/iPhone to c, if connected it may damage the iPod/iPhone.

Wireless Transmitter

1. It is rotatable to suit for different iPod/iPhone.


2. It is suitable for all iPod/iPhone insertion.
3. Volume control VOL-/VOL+
Keep pressing VOL- over 15 seconds, to enter matching status of transmitting and
receiving. Keep pressing VOL- over 15 seconds and release, then press over 5 seconds the
ENTER key on the remote for main unit, the transmitting and receiving matching will be
done.
NOTE: When the transmitter 42138T is inserted on the main unit, transmitting and
receiving matching can not be proceeded.

START
Make sure all the connections are correct then press the POWER button on the
rear panel. This unit will be in operation mode, the LCD will displays the time,
etc.
STANDBY
Press the STANDBY button on remote control, the unit enters into standby
mode and the input icon in the LCD disappears. Press the STANDBY button
once again to switch unit to operation mode.
The LCD will display current input source.
Alternately, you can touch the + and - button on the touch panel
simultaneously to switch unit to standby mode. Simply touch either + or -
button to switch unit to operation mode. The front panel operation button will
remain lighted after unit is switch to Standby mode.
MUTE Press the MUTE button on remote control, the volume of the unit will decrease
5dB, LCD does not display the MUTE icon. Press it again, the unit goes into
MUTE mode, LCD displays the MUTE icon. Press it for the third time, MUTE
mode is cancelled, and MUTE icon on the display will disappear.

INPUT Touch the IN button on the touch screen, the audio source input channel will
follow the below sequence for the circulation selection. You can also press the
iPod, TUNER or AUX button on the remote control directly to choose audio
signal input channel. LCD displays the relevant input source name. The front
panel will also light up the corresponding indicator depending on which mode
is selected.

VOLUME
Touch the +/- button on the touch screen of the unit or press VOLUME +/-
button on remote control to adjust the master volume. Press VOL+ to increase
or press VOL- to decrease the volume. LCD displays the volume level
accordingly. The maximum volume is 40dB, the minimum value is 0dB.
When the main power is restarted, the volume setting will remain if it is set to
32dB or less previously. 20dB is the default volume.

SUB-WOOFER
Press SUB switch on rear panel to turn on the sub-woofer. As a result, unit will
be able to output 2.1 channel audio. The sub-woofer indicator on the front
panel will light up to indicate that the sub-woofer is on. Press SUB switch
again to switch off sub-woofer.

TREBLE
Press the TREBLE +/- on remote control to adjust the treble of main
channel, the adjusting range is ±14dB. Displays -14~ +14 in the LCD.

BASS Note: Bass adjustment only functions when sub-woofer is on. Press the
BASS+/- on the remote control to adjust the BASS of woofer, the adjusting
range is ±14dB. Displays -14~+14 in the LCD.

iPod CONTROL
iPod control button on the remote control works similarly as the
iPod's click wheel, for more details.

LISTENING TO RADIO
1. Select FM or AM TUNER (AM will display MW.)
Touch IN button on the touch screen or press TUNER button on remote control
to select FM or AM.
2. TUNING
a. Manual search: Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit till the
LCD displays AM/FM, touch +/- or press / button on remote control
directly to adjust to your required broadcasting station. To auto-search, press
long, to manual search, press once.

FM forwards 0.1MHz each time, and AM forwards 10kHz each time. Press
continuously for more than 3seconds, the unit will search next station
automatically.
b. Auto search: Press the ENTER button on the remote control to enter into
auto search mode, the unit will record all the Stations which have been
searched by sequence automatically.
3. Select one broadcasting station.
Press CH+/- on the remote control to select the next broadcasting station
which has been recorded. LCD shows MEM icon and the number of selected
broadcasting station.

MEMORY
Press or on the RC continuously to the channel you want, then
press MEM, the MEM on the screen will be lighted. And then press CH+
or CH- to the position where you want to save the channel, and then
press ENTER to confirm, then the MEM light be will off and channel
saving is completed.
SLEEP
1. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit till the SLEEP icon in the
LCD flicks, the SLEEP setting starts, the initial figure indicates: 01min.
Or just press key SLEEP on the remote control.
2. Touch +/- button on the touch screen of the unit or press / button on
remote control to adjust the SLEEP time. The interval of SLEEP time settings
is display such as below:

3. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press ENTER
Button on the remote control to confirm the SLEEP setting, during the
operation, if the interval time exceeds 8 seconds, the current setting will be
cancelled.

ALARM
1. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press ALARM SET
button on remote control till the ALM1/ALM2 icons flicker. Touch +/-
button on front panel of the unit or press ENTER button on the remote
control to enter into alarm ON/OFF settings.

2. Touch +/- button on the touch screen of the unit or press / on the
remote control, the ON/OFF will be displayed circularly in the LCD.

3. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press ENTER button
on the remote control, select OFF to turn off the alarm and exit alarm setting,
select ON to enter into alarm time setting, the hour figures flicker.

4. Touch +/- button on the touch screen of the unit or press / the button
on the remote control to adjust the hour figures of the alarm time. Touch SET
button on the touch screen of the unit or press the ENTER button on the
remote control to confirm the hour setting, and the unit will enter into the
minute setting. The minute figures flicker.

5. Touch +/- button on the touch screen of the unit or press the / button
on the remote control to adjust the minute figures. Touch SET button on the
touch screen of the unit or press the ENTER button on the remote control to
confirm the minute setting, and the unit will enter into the alarm date setting.
The date icon flickers.

6. Touch +/- button on the touch screen of the unit or press the / on the
remote control to adjust the alarm date, you have two options as follow:

Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press the ENTER button
on the remote control to confirm the alarm day setting, then the unit will
enter into alarm audio source. Audio source icon flickers.

7. You have four options of alarm audio source as follow:

Touch +/- button on the touch screen of the unit or press the / on the
remote control to switch to your prefer option, Touch SET button on the
touch screen of the unit or press ENTER button on the remote control ,
When the unit is to be set the alarm volume, the volume icon will flash.
8. Press +/- on the touch panel or / on the RC to adjust alarm volume,
press SET on the touch panel or ENTER on the RC to confirm. When alarm
setting is finished, the unit will enter normal model. Then the alarm settings
are finished and the unit will be in normal mode.
Note:
During the operation of alarm settings, if the interval time exceeds 8
seconds, the current setting will be cancelled.
9. Cancel alarm
When the alarm rings:
a. Press standby button on the remote control to cancel the alarm directly.
b. Touch any button on the touch screen or remote control twice to cancel
alarm.
10. SNOOZE
Touch any button on the touch screen or press any button except standby
button on the remote control once, the alarm stops ringing and the unit enters
into SNOOZE mode, both SNOOZE and ALARM icons Blink. When the
unit is in SNOOZE mode, the alarm stops ringing for 9 minutes, then alarm
sound will start again.

Display mode
Press the Display Mode button on the remote control to select the LCD
display mode. This function is to set the duration of the LCD backlight.
There are three settings for the LCD backlight as shown below:

10. Setting The Time & Clock Settings
1. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press the ALARM
SET button on the remote control, until the CLOCK icon and the hour
figures in the LCD to enter CLOCK setting mode.
2. Touch +/- on the touch screen of the unit or press / button on remote
control to adjust the hour figures.
3. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press ENTER button
on the remote control to confirm the hour figures, then the unit will enter the
minute setting, and the minute figures flicker.
4. Touch +/- on the touch screen of the unit or press the / on remote
control to adjust the minute figures.
5. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press ENTER button
on remote control to confirm the minute figures, then the unit will enter into
week day setting and the week day icons will flicker.
6. Touch +/- button on the touch screen of or press the / on the remote
control to adjust the week day.
7. Touch SET button on the touch screen of the unit or press ENTER button
on the remote control to confirm the week day setting, then the whole
CLOCK setting will be finished.

During the operation, if the operation interval exceeds 8 seconds, the


adjustment will be cancelled automatically.

Clock Setting:
12/24hour format switching setting
Press the ALARM SET button on the remote control for at least 2 seconds or
longer to enter 12/24 hour format setting, and then the 12 and 24 hour format
icons will flicker.
Press the / on remote control to choose 12 or 24 format and then press
the ENTER on the remote control to confirm.
