1. What are people with easygoing personality like? They are usually cheerful, calm, and able
to cope with life´s difficulties without much trouble.
2. What type of personality is the opposite of easygoing? Someone who is never relaxed,
always feels stressed and nervous, and wants everything to be predictable.
3. Why is it difficult to settle the “nature-nurture controversy”? There´s just no way to put
people in a laboratory and watch them develop.
4. Where do most experts believe our personalities come from? Some people think personality
develops as a result of the environment—the combination of influences that we learn from,
such as our families, our cultures, friends, and our education.
5. Do you think nature or nurture is more important in forming personality? Explain your
answer. My feeling is that, like many nature-nurture debates it is probably a combination of
both.
