WRITING TASK 2: Topic: Problems, causes, effects and solutions

1. People today do not feel safe either at home or when they are out.
What are the causes? And what are the solutions?
Nowadays, people tend to feel insecure either when they stay at home or enter the outer
world. Although there will undoubtedly be some negative drawbacks of this trend,
societies can take steps to mitigate these potential problems.
There are some reasons why people now have to face serious risks no matter where they
are. Firstly, because of climate change that is happening all around the world, people are
facing the obvious danger of natural disasters even when they are at home. For example,
in Japan, earthquakes and tsunamis occur every year, which means that many people
have been badly affected during those events. Secondly, when being out of their home,
individuals are usually exposed to different types of pollution such as noise or air
pollution. This could bring negative effect effects on people’s health, reduce the quality
of life and sometimes lead to unexpected consequences. and also can lead the
quality of life to unexpected consequences.
Practicable solutions should be illustated illustrated to tackle these above-mentioned
problems so that people would feel safer. The first measure would be to rapidly develop
state-of-the-art technologies that can help minimize or prevent the damages caused by
natural disasters. For instance, scientists have come up with geological machines that can
forecast the occurrence of earthquakes. In addition, it is immensely vital to reduce noise
and air pollution on this planet Earth. This can be done by encouraging citizens to use
public transports transport in order to suppress the levels of noise and cut down a large
number of fumes caused by private vehicles.
In conclusion, there are recently various typical reasons why people usually do not have
the feeling of safety either at domestic places or being outside. I believed that some
absolute solutions could be taken to deal with this problem.
2. High school students are usually not good at managing money. What
are the reasons? What are measures?
Nowadays, most teenagers studying at high schools are struggling with financial
management in daily life. Although there will undoubtedly be some negative downsides
of this trend, societies should take some good steps to solve these inevitable problems.
There is a number of reasons why most of the high school students do not use their
money well. Firstly, their parents and schools suppose that attending personal financial
classes is not importance important to them since at those ages, students have not made
their own money yet. For example, if students had some chances to learn how to use their
money in suitable ways for various purposes such as education, family matters and
savings, they would possibly reduce their waste of money on unnecessary purposes.
Second Secondly, the daily financial support of parents is considered as a
discouragement, which results in that students will not independently improve personal
skills as well as financial management skill. Therefore, they will not take a deep care of
spending their parents’ money in correct ways or even where the money came from.
Nevertheless, there is also a variety of solutions to mitigate this issue. In fact, parents can
help their children learn how to use their allowances monthly for different purposes
efficiently, or schools may also teach them how to make several ideal financial strategies
during a school trip or outdoor activities. These actions can orient them to become a good
money manager. Furthermore, extra-courses in which high school students are educated
about earning, spending and saving money should be opened annually in summer
holiday. It can be an ideal time to attend these classes as they are totally free from
studying academic curriculums.
In conclusion, even though a lot of high school learners has problems with their
spending, there are various ways to tackle it. Providing beneficial financial knowledge
can be the most usefull useful and important way to deal with this issue.
3. The gap between the rich and the poor is increasingly wide as rich
people become richer and poor people grew poorer. What problems
could this situation cause? What are the solutions to address those
problems?
It is widely believed that the difference between the rich and the poor is broading
broadening dramatically throughout centuries. Although there will undeniably be some
negative downsides of this trend, communities should take some good steps to solve these
inevitable problems.
To begin with, the increasing gap between rich and poor people might bring about some
negative consequences. Firstly, this can lead to great inequalities in the level of health
care and education services that people can access. For example, while young people who
come from a wealthy family can afford studying abroad, poorer ones tend to find it harder
to approach high quality education. As a result, life seems unfair for individuals who live
below the poverty line. Secondly, since needy people are getting relatively poorer
compared to others in society, it is more difficult for them to cover their basic needs such
as demands for food or accommodation. Therefore, they could be more likely to get
involved/ be involved involve in crimes or many other illegal activities, which leads to
higher crime rates in modern societies.
Fortunately, there are some effective solutions to tackle these problems. The first one
would be to provide special educational opportunities for people coming from an
impoverished background. For instance, universities can offer grants for poor students,
which helps these students become proficient workers in the future and earn a living.
Additionally, the government should apply tax and pension systems, which favour poor
citizens. To be specific, those who earn more money should be required to pay higher tax
than others, which would help minimise economical inequality in recent society.
In conclusion, while greater disparities between rich and poor people can contribute to
several issues, there are some good measures that can be taken to deal with these
problems.
4. Nowadays, more and more people tend to live individually. What are
the causes of this trend? Does this have a positive or negative effect on
society?
In our modern life, it is popularly seen that there is a large number of people who choose
to live alone in many countries all over the world. Although there will undeniably be
some negative drawbacks of this trend, communities should take effective steps to solve
these inevitable problems.
There are two main reasons that lead young adults to live on their own. Firstly, in the
modern society, people tend to entirely focus all of their time and effort on their career
careers, hence, they are prone to spend less time on social activities. As a result, it would
be difficult for them to find an appropriate partner to share the accommodation when they
live away from their families. Furthermore, the gap between generations is widening. To
be more specific, the youngsters tend to like pop music, which seems to give
annoyance to most of the elderly. Another example is the dissimilarity of making
decisions are also likely to cause more conflicts among generations. Consequently, the
young adults probably could not handle these situations and start to move on from out of
their families’ house.
From my perspective, everything has their pros and cons. The most advantage of living
alone is that people do not need to live dependently on each other, which means that they
do not feel any sense of control. For instance, they can freely enjoy their favorite TV
show without being bother by anyone else. In addtion addition, while living alone,
people can learn how to be more independent and take more responsibities
responsibilities for their own life, such as paying the bills on time or going shopping for
daily necessary items. However, as this trend is expected to increase gradually, it could
lead to the decline of population, especially in the developed countries, where people
prefer to be single rather than to get married.
In conclusion, two core reasons mentioned for the tendency of living on people’s own are
the differences between generations as well as the lack of social interactions. This trend
includes both benefits and downsides, however, we should respect the choice of
individual deciding to live alone.
5. Many criminals re-offend after they have been punished. Why do
these people continue to commit crimes after they have been punished?
What measure can be taken to tackle this problem?
Nowadays, modern societies are witnessing a large number of people who decide to keep
committing crimes after they have been punished. Although there will undeniably be
some negative drawbacks of this trend, communities should take effective and absolute
steps to solve these inevitable problems.
From my perspective, there are two main factors leading to the re-offence of many
criminals after being released from prison. Firstly, people with criminal records tend to
face the discrimination from society. In other words, there are not many companies
which are willing to employ ex-offenders. This accidently creates barriers preventing
those who once committed crimes from reintegrating back into society. Secondly, those
punishments for criminals may not strong enough to make them fully aware of their
negative impacts on society, which makes them easily get involved/ be involved involve
in illegal activities again.
In order to minimize the rate of re-offending against law, governments should take
imperative steps as soon as possible. The first absolute solution would be to educate
prisoners about laws, moral lessons as well as provide them proficient skills during
period of imprisonment. In Vietnam, for instance, thanks to vocational training held in
prison, an enormous number of criminals get well-paid jobs after prison. Another
measure is that governments should raise public awareness about creating job
opportunities for offenders who desire to fix their mistakes. The more supports from
community they receive, the less chance they think of committing crime again.
In conclusion, in my opinion, re-offending stems from two primary reasons. However,
the problem could be addressed absolutely and effectively by some possible measures
taken by the governments and societies.
6. It is said that people’s life now is becoming more and more stressful.
What are the causes and how to solve it?
Nowadays, it is strongly and widely believed that there is a large number of stresses
existing in people’s daily life. Although there will undeniably be some negative
downsides of this trend, societies should take effective steps to solve these inevitable
problems.
To begin with, stress has obviously been increased globally due to two important reasons.
Firstly, the rapid increasing in density of population affects people strongly, especially in
both developing and developed countries. For example, in India and China, their
population have escalated far considerably since last three decades, reaching almost half
of total world’s population. As a result, inhabitants are annoyed more by traffic jams or
air pollution causing by vehicles. To reduce this growth, governments should provide
more practical methods to slow the escalation of the population on Earth via launching
ideal family plannings or encouraging urban inhabitants to move and live in suburb areas.
Another reason is the enhancement of living spending. Individuals have to work longer
hours to be able to afford their regular expenses, including many different kinds of bill,
housing mortgage or car lease. In addition, citizens used to paid more for their vacations
than the past. By accessing to more low-cost airlines or resorts, individuals are obviously
motivated to spend more on them annually. To tackle this issue, the related authorities
should consider more restrictions on workloads, which have been one of leading reasons
for having a more anxious living condition.
In conclusion, anxiety has been raised notably. Including the density of population and
growing of expenditures are two major important reasons. In my view, administrations
should control them intermediately and take a deep care of people’s stress, which make
the level of stress in daily life reduce far considerably.
