Excerpts in the student handbook under Article IX, Grading System and MEMO from the Office of the Vice President for
Academics re Compliance to the prescribed Completion Period.
Section 1. Grading periods
There are three (3) grading periods for each semester and two (2) grading periods for the summer term. The highest
percentage rating that may be given in any grading period is 99%. The lowest passing grade in the undergraduate is 75%.
Any grade lower than 75% is considered “Failed”. In the Graduate school, the passing grade is 85%.
Section 2. Failed Grades
Students have to re-enroll the subjects affected. Any remark of No Final Examination (NFE) or Incomplete
(INC) should be completed within one-month completion period for all lecture and laboratory subjects which
shall commence on the first day of classes on the next school term. (MEMO Number 04, Series of 2009 dated
May 18, 2009.)
Failure to complete all academic deficiencies within the prescribed period will be automatically converted to an
NC or NO CREDIT remark by the Admissions and Records Center and the concerned student has to re-enroll the
subject/s. (MEMO Number 20 series of 2008 dated December 3, 2008.)
Section 3. Finality of Grades
Final Grades once submitted to the Admissions and Records Center cannot be altered or modified unless the
faculty concerned certifies in writing to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, through the endorsement of
the Dean and forwarded to the Admissions and Records Center that he/she had committed clerical or
mathematical error and provided further that the grade has not been submitted to CHED.
I have read and understood the policies regarding completion of Grades.
