Research questions

What is the main cause of juvenile delinquency?

What are the effects of juvenile delinquency?

What measure may be used to reduce juvenile delinquency?

Reason for research

The city of Portmore is a large coastal town active neighbor located in the parish of St. Catherine and lies between Kingston and Spanish

Town. The community that the research will be done on is Southboro. Living in this community for over two years has opened my eyes to

many aspects of juvenile delinquency within the area. This topic was chosen based on a few major issues that I have seen impacted the youths

within our society today. I would like to shed some light on the violence in the home, lack of moral guidance and peer pressure as they are some

of the main factors that are impacting the vast growth of juvenile delinquency. At the end of this research, I hope to provide substantial content

that will grab the mind of the reader and educate them on the factors that are causing youths to be heading in the wrong direction. Also, to

provide solutions that will have a great impact on improving these situations.
