All Can Be Together This chapter tells about the extreme skill and bravery shown by everyone. It's not only an adventure but also shows us the togetherness and faith. It tells us that there's nothing to worry about if we all are together.
The story is about a world long voyage and the difficulties faced and how they overcome everything. it's just soo thrilling that makes me feel like going on an adventure like this. The way everything was shown was soo interesting that it felt like I was with them, the happy times like Christmas which suddenly becomes bad for them all these made me soo eager to read more. As well, I was really moved by the bravery shown by everyone especially the children, how they told their parents not to worry about them and how everything will be all right. Suzane his 7-year-old daughter had soo many injuries but still never told her parents as she thought that right distract them, Jonathan the 6-year-old told them that we all will be fine if we are together. The maturity showed moved me soo much.
This story teaches us an important lesson of
how we should have faith and trust our family or others in times of need and it shows how our family is soo important and we should always trust and appreciate each other. MY MUSINGS Chapter: The Ailing Planet: The Green Movements Role Conservation is the need of the hour. Without conserving our planet, we will soon lose it. The chapter, The Ailing Planet emphasizes on the need to making conservation our priority.
The author brings our attention to the critical
condition of our planet. Man’s recklessness, greed and indifference to the needs of the planet, have made its condition really bad. After reading this chapter it made me question what i did every day and did it affect the environment. The zoo in Lusaka which has a cage labelled 'The worlds most dangerous animal' it only has a mirror and nothing else made me realise that how we humans use the resource ruthlessly. Even though we know about this it keeps happening, we keep exploiting it. A large number of species are there on the Earth and everyone has an equal right to live on this planet but the point is raised about the domination of the human race over other species. The concept of coexistence is lost.
This chapter also tells how we are borrowing this earth from our children. So it depends on us if we want to save our children. Our actions will have a really great impact on this planet. Sustainable Development is a method of using our resource very wisely by thinking of the net generation and the current. This method if used by everyone will not only help the future but this planet also. MY MUSINGS Chapter: Ranga's Marriage This story shows us how child marriage was practised at that time. Even though it's banned now it is still practised in some areas. Child brides are neither physically nor emotionally ready to become wives and mothers. They face more risks of experiencing dangerous complications in pregnancy and childbirth, contract. With little access to education opportunities, the families don't understand about its ill effects.
The chapter shows how ranga's ideal bride would be someone of his age and it would be a love marriage. But when he comes to the village the Shastri and the narrator manipulate him and he ends up marrying a child. But the way the author narrates the story is interesting, how he describes his village its beauty and culture. The delicacy 'karigadabbu', the mango trees, the pond and everything and tells us how his village Hossahalli is really beautiful. This all made me feel that all these villages and small town are really beautiful and make me want to go there. MY MUSINGS Chapter: Albert Einstein At School The lesson “Albert Einstein at School” is an extract from the biography of Albert Einstein, named “The Young Einstein” by Patrick Pringle. In this lesson, we see the years in Einstein’s life where he was struggling each day in school and as each day passed, the school diploma felt like a far-fetched dream.
Seeing how Albert Einstein
questions the education system made me also think that are we also just learning plain facts. Albert disliked his neighbourhood because of all the slum violence, he had only one friend, Yuri. They had a really good bond, Yuri had helped him get an appointment with a doctor which would help him go to Italy and continue his studies there as he didn't like his school here at all. The doctor was helpful as he understood that he really has a nervous breakdown because of his school and even his maths teacher knew that it was better for him to join a college and it would not benefit anyone if he was here. He gave him a really good recommendation which encouraged him a lot. This lesson teaches us to be focused on our goal even if there are barriers in our way. MY MUSINGS Chapter: Mother's Day
This lesson shows the importance of mothers in a
family and how people neglect it and how most of us do not appreciate how much our mothers work for the family. It shows how the family gets angry at the mother because their needs are not met. Seeing Cyril and Doris's behaviour with their mom made me angry, I realised that maybe I have done this and now I should make sure that I should also help my mother in all the household work and be a helping hand to her. We should all appreciate our mothers by helping her, asking her about her problems and just appreciate her in any way, this gesture of ours will really make them happy.
