ARTWORK The artwork by Mr. Imao presents mostly curvy lines in order to form the subject, which is known as the Sarimanok, and its surroundings, which are specifically four different sized fish. This form was inspired by a Maranao legend which has several different versions. Imao takes great inspiration from his Islamic faith in making his work Sarmanok. When an onlooker first looks at the artwork, he or she would notice the Sarimanok and then the fishes.
