Soft annealed stranded copper APPLICATIONS
per ASTM B-3 Nexans AmerCable’s Type PV is a single-conductor
cable that meets the newest standards as introduced in
INSULATION National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 690. Applications
Extruded thermosetting include connection to module junction boxes; required
Ethylene Propylene cable routing in balance of system (BOS) integration;
Rubber (EPR) meeting
UL 44 and UL 4703 and where also allowed by the NEC.

CONDUCTOR APPLICATIONS
Soft annealed stranded copper Nexans AmerCable’s Type TC multiconductor cable
per ASTM B-8 combines the requirements for large solar farms and of
the National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 690 into one
INSULATION cable. The overall jacketed cable is permitted to be

PRIMARY DISTRIBUTION CABLES
ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR • 1/3 REDUCED NEUTRAL • CN 35kV • RATED 90°C

APPLICATIONS
Energex® CN Distribution Cables are ideal for use in solar
sub-stations connecting transformers and switchgear, and
between switchgear and the distribution substation.
Energex CN is suitable for use above ground in open air,
in cable tray, in conduit in air, aerially when suspended on
a messenger wire, and either directly buried or in duct.
Note: While suitable for use in cable tray, Energex CN
cables are not CT rated as per UL 1072.

OPTIONAL FEATURES
There are a variety of options that can be chosen to

+ When pulling the cable, the minimum bending radius should be at least 1.5 times the above recommended value in order to limit the sidewall bearing pressure (SWBP) to
