    In the desert of the United Arab Emirates lies one of the most opulent tourist destinations on the
    planet - the city of Dubai. This oasis in a vast desert landscape is perfectly situated on the Persian
    Gulf, where light breezes flow inland to help cut through the heat of the day. Over the last few
    years, Dubai has witnessed massive industrial growth to become one of the most popular
    playgrounds of the rich and famous.

    With world famous hotels like the seven-star Burj al-Arab, and some of the tallest buildings in
    the world including the Emirates Towers and the Pentominium, the Dubai skyline is an
    impressive display of architecture against a backdrop of some of nature's most stunning displays.
    However, scenic backdrops and mile-high skyscrapers are only a fraction of Dubai's appeal. Here
    are the top 10 things to do in Dubai.

    Dubai's Top 10 Attractions


    1.) The Beaches - Dubai is home to some of the most stunning beaches in the world. With their
    pure white sandy shores and waters the deepest of blues, lounging around on the beach all day is
    an activity that will never get old on your relaxing Dubai vacation. Just remember the sunscreen!
    2.) Shopping - Shopping centers and malls are scattered around Dubai so you're never far away
    from a shopping experience. Some of the luxury malls include the Mall of the Emirates and
    Deira City Centre. Always remember to barter with the salesman - they expect you to. Also, if
    you are traveling to Dubai in January, be sure to stop by one of the most famous Dubai shopping
    festivals of the year.
    3.) Hot Air Balloon Rides - Seeing Dubai at street level is impressive. However, seeing it from
    hundreds of feet in the air is totally breathtaking! Enjoy a hot air balloon ride and see how this
    tropical landscape quickly disintegrates into the surrounding desert.
    4.) Dune Bashing - Take a special SUV out on to the sand dunes (with an experienced driver, of
    course) and go four wheeling. It's an exhilarating ride that's topped off with a luxury dinner.
    5.) Golf - You would never expect grass this lush and green to grow in the desert! Tee off on a
    world-class golf course, or try your hand at the crazy game of sand golf.

    6.) Wild Wadi - Dubai's very own water park and it's done in traditional Dubai style -
    extravagant! This wet and wild thrill park features many water rides and water surfing. The kids
    will never want to leave!

    7.) Live Music - Many of today's hottest recording artists are including Dubai on their tour
    schedules. Check with your hotel for a list of upcoming musical acts that you may be able to
    catch while you're there.

    8.) Skiing - Within the Mall of the Emirates there is a bona fide ski slope! It's an indoor slope
    with manmade snow, ideal for skiing and snow boarding. You have to see it to believe it!

    9.) Cruise the Creek - Dubai is split right down the middle by a creek that's responsible for the
    city's location and growth. Dinner cruises are available for the utmost pleasurable experience of
    slowly gliding along the creek while enjoying a sumptuous meal.

    10.) Dining - A home to numerous first-class dining establishments, Dubai certainly doesn't lack
    taste. From the inexpensive local delicacy Shwarma to high-end fine dining experiences like
    Legends Steakhouse or Khazana, all of your culinary wishes are granted when it comes to
    experiencing true Dubai food. Oh, and there's a McDonalds for the kids.
