    SYLLABUS FOR IIA EXAMINATIONS-2014

    PART II
    GROUP- A
    ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
    -
    II
    CODE-201
    Duration: 12 Hours Max. Marks: 200 Pass Marks -10
    INTENT Study of vertical circulation, site planning, segregation of traffic, significan
    of external / environmental factors in Architecture as related to desion
    multifunctional buildings maximum up to four storeys.

    CONTENTS
    Design ofResidential Buildings including Bungalows, Apartmentsetc.
    Design of Public Buildings including Library, Dispensary, Health Centre
    etc.
    Design ofEducational Buildings.
    Design of Small Cultural Centre.
    Fundamentals of Barrier Free access to buildings.

    NOTES Topic for Architectural Design shall be announced one week before
    the examination at the respective examination centers.
    Candidate will be expected to prepare layout Plan, elevations, sections
    duly dimensioned to explain the scheme.
    A perspective view and detail of an interesting portion may also be
    included.
    The examination will be held for a period of 12 hours, in two sittings ot
    hours each, on two days. Candidates will be required to submit at the end ot
    first day the line plans, sections and elevations of the scheme,whicnu
    not be returned. On the next day fair drawings of properly dimension
    plans, elevations, sections, site plans and three dimensional expressioncu
    will be prepared.
