This text is for questions 16 and 17.

Dizzy, tired and fed up. It has been three years I’m hiding my sickness. Now
I’m beat, but I still need to go to school and try to take the lessons. My best friend
asked me, “I’m okay, only tired”.

I didn’t go home. I attended an extra-curricular activity. When I gathered

with my friends, my chest was hurting, “Oh my God, Why do I need to feel this
suffering everyday? I just want to hang out together with my friends, my family,
everybody … I don’t want my best friends know this”.

Talking of the devil, my best friend was waiting for me by the front gate. I
then went home with him, but then suddenly my body was trembling, my head was
spinning, and blood to sorting out from my nose. I fainted unconsciously, and was
brought to hospital by my best friend.

Before informing my parents, I asked the doctor and he said. “You are
suffering a heart cancer. Your heart is continuously getting weaker, and I’m afraid
you can’t hold much longer. We must conduct a surgery as soon as possible.”

I took my cellphone and called my parents. Then soon arrived at the hospital;
arriving in the state of shock and pity on my condition, with all the life sustaining
equipments stuck on my body.

One week has passed, and I’ve been unconscious for I went into a coma.
Everyday, my friends watched over me. They even brought me some food, “We
made that for you.” they said.

Then finally my parents agreed to conduct the surgery. They hoped for the
best because they knew that God is still kind to me.

you all with the short time that was available. 

I truly am humbled to have worked with such a group of "get in and get it happening people" and I am so
proud of the achievements that you have accomplished both in the operation and (for quite a lot of you) for
your own personal accomplishments.

Technology brings problems as well as benefits to humankind. Since Henry

Ford began mass production in automobiles in 1908, automobiles have provided us
with a cheap and convenient means of transportation. However, they also brought us
traffic jams and air pollution.

The technological development that also change our lives as much as the
automobiles is the personal computer. Since the 1980s, personal computers have
become common in homes, schools, and businesses. However like the automobiles
unexpected problems, so have personal computers.

To begin with, communication via computer entails several problems.

Although we can easily send a message to hundreds of people instantly, we also
receive hundreds of messages, both wanted and unwanted, in a few minutes. It took
several hours to read them all. The lack of censorship in cyberspace is another
problem that no one has solved yet. For instance, a computer-literate child can
receive pornographic photos and listen to chat-room conversations about sex.

In addition, computers have also caused problems in business. They

potentially create opportunities for computerized crime. Computer criminals use
their skills to obtain secret business information and steal money. Moreover,
computers entails depersonalized business. People are no longer customers: they are
account numbers. Face-to-face business transactions are no longer necessary. You
can buy almost anything you need by computer, phone, or fax. It may be possible
someday to see a company who have never conducted physical interaction.

and other ways to keep the safe. However, did you know that one of the best ways to protect your children is
to make sure they have all of their vaccinations?
Immunisations can save your child’s life. Because of advances in medical science, your child can be
protected against more deseases than ever before. Several deseases that once injured or killed thousands of
children, have been eliminated completely.
Vaccination is very safe and effective. Vaccines are only given to children after a long and careful
review by scientists, doctors and healthcare professionals. Vaccines will involve some discomfort and may
cause pain, redness or tenderness at the site of injection, but this is minimal compared to the pain, discomfort
and trauma of the deseases these vaccines prevent.
Immunisations protect others you care about. While several babies are too young to be protected by
vaccination, others may not be abe to receive certain vaccinations due to severe allergies, weakened immune
systems from conditions like leukimia, or other reasons. To help keep them safe, it is important that you and
your children who are able to get vaccinated are fully immunised. This not only protects your family, but
also prevent the spread of this deseases to your friend and loved ones.
Immunisations can save your family time and money. A child with vaccine-preventable desease can
be denied attendance at schools or child care facilities. Several vaccines-preventable deseases can result in
prolonged disabilities and can take a financial toll because of lost time at work, medical bills or long-term
dissability care. In contrast, getting vaccinated against these deseases is a good investmen and usually
covered by insurance.
Immunisations protects future generations. Vaccines have reduced and, in several cases eliminated many
deseases that killed or severely disabled people just a few generation ago. For example, smallpox vaccination
eradicated that disease worldwide. Your children don’t have to get smallpox shots any more because the
desease no longer exists. If we continue vaccinating now, and vaccinating completely, parents in the future
may be able to trust that some deseases of today will no longer be around to harm their children in the future.

A tsunami is a large ocean wave that is caused by sudden motion on the ocean floor. This sudden
motion could be an earthquake, a powerful volcanic eruption, or an underwater landslide. The impact of a
large meteorite could also cause a tsunami. Tsunamis travel across the open ocean at great speeds and build
into large deadly waves in the shallow water of a shoreline.
Most tsunamis are caused by earthquakes generated in a subduction zone, an area where an oceanic
plate is being forced down into the mantle by plate tectonic forces. The friction between the subducting plate
and the overriding plate is enormous. This friction prevents a slow and steady rate of subduction and instead
the two plates become "stuck."
As the stuck plate continues to descend into the mantle, the motion causes a slow distortion of the
overriding plate. The result is an accumulation of energy very similar to the energy stored in a compressed
spring. Energy can accumulate in the overriding plate over a long period of time - decades or even centuries.

Orchard road is surrounded by a lush tropical and flower garden which are beautiful. At first, Orchard Road

it turned into a shopping center in Singapore, in 1960 and 1970 entertainment industries began to enter this

There are so many ways that can be accessed to get to Orchard Road such as: by taxi, bus, or drive
your own car. For those who are driving to Orchard Road can be entered from the west through the Napier
Road. Vehicles from Dunearn Road can turn to left at the intersection of the Marrion Hotel junction.
Vehicles that come from Paterson can turn right onto Orchard Road. Orchard is always crowded so you have
to be careful in order not to get lost.

Police to allow motorists to use built-in navigation systems

 The Jakarta Police have clarified their plan to fine motorists using navigation apps. The
police traffic chief, Sr. Comr. Halim Pagarra, said such practices would not constitute a traffic

The Story of Smart Monkey and Dull Crocodile

One day there was a monkey. He wanted to cross a river. There he saw a crocodile so he asked the
crocodile to take him across the other side of the river.
The crocodile agree and told the monkey to jump on its back. Then the crocodile swam down the river
with the monkey on his top. Unluckily, the crocodile was very hungry, he stopped in the middle of the river
and said to the monkey, “My father is very sick. He has to eat the heart of the monkey. So he will be healthy
again.”
At the time, the monkey was in dangerous situation and he had to think hard. Then he had a good
idea. He told the crocodile to swim back to the river bank. “What’s for?” asked the crocodile. “Because I

How Earthquakes Happen

Earthquakes occur at cracks in the Earth’s crust called faults. Faults are created because rock is brittle
and breaks when great stress (stretching, squeezing or twisting) is exerted upon it. Stress builds up in areas
of the crust because of the gradual movement of the Earth’s plates.

Earthquakes happen when stress has built up in an area of rock to such an extent that sudden
movement occurs. This movement can create a new fault as the rock breaks at the weakest point, or the
movement causes the rock to slip along an existing fault. When this happens, an enormous amount of energy
is given out as the stress is released. The released energy causes the surrounding rock to vibrate, which
creates an earthquake. The actual point where the rock first slips or breaks, causing an earthquake, is called
the focus. The place on the Earth’s surface immediately above the focus is called the epicenter.
