TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF STEAM GENERATOR.

Technical specifications refers to the set of documented requirements to be satisfied by a


material, design, product or services. It’s all about the detailed description of technical
requirements, usually with specific acceptance criteria, stated in terms suitable to form the
basis for the actual design development and production processes of the steam generators.

The following table shows in details the technical specifications of steam generator.

GENERAL Heat Treatment As per ASME Sec. VIII div. 1.
Paints and colour All Carbon steel parts need to be cleaned and 1 coat of red
oxide applied on them.
Passivation All stainless steel surfaces to be pickled and passivated after
hydrotest
TEST Hydro Test Primary side to be pressurized to 272 kg/sq. cm.
Secondary side to be pressurized to 132 kg/sq. cm.
Air Leak Test To be performed at not more than 2 kg/sq. cm.
SUPPORT Structural members Skirt support to be designed and provided by Vendor.
Calculations for the same need to be submitted.

ATTACHMENT(S) Suitable attachments like lugs, eye bolts etc. to be provided
