Algatropia Indonesia Raya, our portfolio centers on a microalgae


producer and provides cutting-edge technology in producing
sustainable algae-based products for nutritional ingredients.

We co-innovate in making pure algae powder or premixes of algae


and other botanical extracts for use in supplement, food and
beverage, and functional food markets. Our products are mainly
sold with business-to-business schemes to herbal or food
manufacturers.

We are currently looking for the best and professional candidates

Klaten, Central Java, Indonesia.

1. Business Development Specialist

Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Identifies and manages innovative projects for business development, including


new business opportunities to support strategic growth objectives across internal
business units.
- Implements project workflows for team collaboration and ensure tasks are
completed within budget and on schedule.
- Collaborates with stakeholders across the business to plan and execute robust and
effective business development initiatives.
- Identifies, researches, and evaluates the market size, market segmentation, and
competitor strategies to touch new market areas and revenue opportunities.
- Conducts proactive research, leveraging internal and external resources to identify
potential partnership opportunities for increased growth and revenue.
- Uses multiple channels and technology-enabled tools to prospect and build a sales
pipeline.
- Ensures accuracy of all documentation, including reports, invoice, expense forms,
etc.

Qualifications and required skills:


- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Management, Marketing, or related field
required.
- Two or more years professional outside sales experience (B2B preferred), or
equivalent experience.
- Experience in market insight, market analysis, and/or research.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem solver.

2. Digital Marketing Specialist

Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Managing, creating, updating, and publishing original, high-quality content on social


platforms and other digital advertising including Website, Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc
- Utilize social listening tools and competitor benchmarking to optimize content and
social media ad strategy to hit KPI targets.
- Engage and respond to customers on all social media channels in a timely and
brand-appropriate fashion.
- Maintain digital dashboard of several different accounts and prepare monthly
performance reports.
- Designing social media strategies and content calendars to achieve marketing
targets.
- Analyse digital data to draw key recommendations around messaging/targeting.
- Continuously leverage learnings to refine audience profiles across various channels.
- Conducts social media audits to ensure best practices are being used.
- Execute, manage and track monthly social media ads promotions.
- Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices.

Qualifications and required skills:


- Bachelors degree in Business, Advertising, Design, Management, Marketing, or
related programs.
- Full understanding of all social media platforms and best practices from a brand
perspective.
- Two years more of experience in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management.
- Experience executing paid social media campaigns.
- Knowledge of video and picture editing software.
- Must be able to juggle multiple projects at the same time.

3. Product Development Specialist
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Formulate and develop foods and supplements including powder, ready-to-drink
beverages, ready-to-eat foods, capsules, and others.
- Documents all raw material specifications, formulations, variables tested, product
stability, and other pertinent details and enters into lab notebooks and formula
database.
- Validate ingredients and ingredient vendors, preliminary costing, and prepare
nutritional and supplement facts panels.
- Conducts raw material recognizing, factory trials, analytical testing, pilot-plant
experiments, and scale-up manufacturing runs with standard operations.
- Organizes sensory panels and refines formulations until desired characteristics are
achieved.
- Reformulates products into compliance with changing government regulations or
customer requirements.
- Conduct registration of newly formulated products that meet the BPOM and Halal
requirements.
- Produces formula cost information; works with purchasing, finance, and business
teams to help establish final product pricing.
- Prepares new item documents and set up for all product introductions to
prospective customers.

Qualifications and required skills:


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemist,
Pharmacy, Nutrition or related field or equivalent experience.
- Two or more years of relevant experience working in the food, beverage, or dietary
supplement industry; prior development and knowledge of dietary supplements are
advantages.
- Advanced experience taking products from concept through final production with
an in-depth understanding of more food processing.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and “think outside the box” handling multiple
projects/tasks at one time.
- Able to formulate independently based on customer requirements for a project
identifying any potential issues and alerting manager or customer.
- Must have a positive attitude, good listening skills, ambition, and self-confidence.

4. Algal Research Specialist

Essential duties and responsibilities:


- Manages cultivation activities of commercial strains (Spirulina, Chlorella).
- Manages experimental stock cultures (Haematococcus, Porphyridium, Isochrysis).
- Conducts analytical tests of growth performance and biomass quality.
- Designs innovative selections to improve algal productivity and stability.
- Improve the techniques of harvesting, drying, and storing algae-based products.
- Develop extraction techniques to isolate & purify natural bioactive compounds.
- Prepares samples for external testing by other laboratories or research institutions.
- Calibrates instruments and contributes to laboratory organization and compliance.
- Applies basic scientific knowledge to perform routine analysis and to solve simple
analytical problems encountered during production support.
- Performs testing for the qualification of references standards.
- Keep up to date with current literature in advanced technologies as relevant.
- Regularly present and prepare formal reports and scientific publications.
- Keep organized and detailed documentation.

Qualifications and required skills:


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology,
Aquaculture, Agriculture, Marine Science, or relevant discipline.
- Two or more years of algal laboratory experience and/or experience in algal
production or aquaculture with strong statistical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, cooperatively, and with strong personal integrity in a fast-
paced manufacturing environment that has proprietary information to safeguard.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, as well as analytical testing skills.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

5. Bioprocess/Production Engineer

Essential duties and responsibilities:


- Apply a fundamental understanding of engineering principles for the scale-up of
unit operations from small bench to commercial scale.
- Determine continuous improvement opportunities and implement improvements in
the production units to optimize utilization (throughput, quality, safety, efficiency).
- Monitor productivity, process yields, and product and process performance to meet
production commitments in an efficient manner.
- Manages technical operators in units operation of Open Pond Cultivation, Biomass
Preparation, Conventional Dryer, and Spray Dryers to ensure production capacity is
achieved monthly.
- Works in improving the formulation, preservatives impact, and stability properties
of natural extracts i.e. light stability, thermal stability, etc., by physical and chemical
modification of the extracts.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve commercial processes to
reduce the cost of goods sold and enhance product quality.
- Evaluate and characterize new extracts and innovative technologies that are not
currently available and make recommendations regarding their potential use for
food products across all business unit areas.
- Ensure technical employees are trained on new and/or updated process changes
and equipment design.

Qualifications and required skills:


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical, Industrial, Biological, Agrotechnology
Engineering, or relevant experiences.
- Two or more years of experience working in food, milk, pharma, biotech, or natural
aromatic industries is required.
- Able to apply engineering principles in the design of efficient workflow processing
and troubleshoot plant operations issues.
- Possessing a basic understanding of GMP/FSMA/HACCP/ISO requirements is
preferred.
- An excellent understanding of microbiology is required.
- Experience with microalgae cultivation processes or aquaculture is highly desirable.
- Previous experience with downstream unit operations such as filtration,
centrifugation, spray drying, oven drying, freeze-drying is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must as this position requires
interacting with multiple internal and external teams.

6. Plant Development Engineer

Essential duties and responsibilities:


- Provides engineering support for powder processing equipment such as spray
dryers, filters, blenders, mixers, mills, and sieves.
- Services troubleshoots and solves production process/equipment problems.
- Conducts tests and measurements throughout the various stages of production to
determine control over variables.
- Manages projects for renovating or upgrading plant facilities and processes to
increase efficiency, reliability, and capacity.
- Establishes and submits processing requirements to be met in designing and
acquiring processing equipment.
- Make informed decisions on engineering issues and methods that are cost-effective
and of high quality.
- Development of specifications for equipment and materials as required in support
of facility projects.
- Oversees contractor and vendor tasks and adherence to corporate programs.
- Prepare capital project budgets for approval and administer the project budget.
- Collaborates with other engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality
standards are in place.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and
evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Ensures that corrective actions meet acceptable reliability standards and that
documentation is compliant with requirements.

Qualifications and required skills:


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical
Engineering, or equivalent required.
- Two or more years of experience working in food, milk, pharma, biotech, or natural
aromatic industries is required.
- Prior experience leading project teams required; and extensive experience leading
the design and execution of capital projects.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet tight timelines and
shifting priorities.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and have a proven ability to
work in a team environment.
- Must have a positive attitude, good listening skills, ambition, and self-confidence.

7. Document Control Specialist

Essential duties and responsibilities:


- Prepare and coordinate the policies, procedures, and forms within the document
control system relating to operations, supply chain, & quality control/assurance,
including but not limited to receiving, testing, & shipping in order to ensure product
quality, traceability, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide documentation to the engineering and technology team and other
departments for new product developments and process improvements.
- Conduct internal quality assurance compliance audits of products and processes.
- Perform external audits of potential suppliers or contractors or service providers.
- Ensures ongoing compliance to, but not limited to, HACCP, GMPs, Halal, BPOM, etc.
- Initiate actions necessary to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to
food safety and the quality of the product or processes.
- Audit and reconciliation of batch sheet and control batch sheet changes.
- Develop tools to track errors and identify corrective action.
- Verify through auditing production records that batch record reports are accurate
and balanced.
- Assist with root cause analysis when discrepancies are found through all quality
system audits.
- Actively lead or participate in the Food Safety Management Team.
- Provide backup support for the QA/QC Manager/FSTL to maintain QA/QC practices
and ensure product availability.

Qualifications and required skills:


- Diploma or Bachelors degree in related area preferred or equivalent experience.
- Must have experience dealing with document control and auditing as well as a
practical understanding of batch sheet control and accounting.
- ISO, FSSC, HACCP, or Global Food Safety Initiative system experience preferred.
- Experienced working in a food or pharmaceutical facility with similar workflow
preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and attention to detail.
- PC literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Problem-solving, multi-tasking, and strong organizational skills are necessary.
- Must have a positive attitude, good listening skills, ambition, and self-confidence.
