chain outlet offers different firm of services and food menus that attracts the attention of the
customers towards the restaurant chain unit. The job advertisement of General Manager has
been posted on UK’s famous job search portal reed.co.uk. The job position has been
advertised in form of General Manager who will be responsible towards managing the
activities in restaurants. The recruitment is mainly for the city of Berkshire, where the
organisation will be offering competitive salary along with other benefits[ CITATION
Ree20 \l 1033 ]. The organisation is looking for general manager who are active learners and
take accountability of their job responsibility. Whitbread restaurant are also looking out for
general manager who will be taking in charge of the entire operation and take the

Personal development is often referred to as gaining experiences and investing time in
yourself so that both professional and personal development can be achieved by one-self.
Professional development allows the individual in gaining proactive nature along with highly
experienced skills that manages them in performing activities with higher

gaining experience, improved focus and effectiveness.

The personal development process helps me in shaping my skills towards being an effective
and efficient general manager as a result of which I can grow my traits towards managing
activities in restaurant industry. During the first stage of personal development it helps me in
increasing my self-awareness as a result of which it aids in developing values and beliefs
which adds traits towards my characteristics in respect of being an efficient general

understanding the roles and responsibilities of general manager which includes of ensuring

Evaluation of the university event and conclusions

University employability event has been conducted in aspect of offering different types of
employment opportunities to young and energetic freelancers, Start-ups and Entrepreneurs.
The university event is offering free pass to the aspirants who are willing to take part in the
seminar. The event will be hosting in Wimbletech, Wimbledon Hill Road, London SW19
7NB, United Kingdom. The official time of commencing the event will be on Friday, 3 rd
January 2020 from 10.00 to 16.00 (GMT). The university event is a great platform for young
and aspirant people to get a first-hand experience of meeting with top notch delegates of
organisation and clear their doubts[ CITATION Gou191 \l 1033 ]. The university event will
also be helping me in understanding my roles and responsibilities as general manager of
restaurant industry. I will be meeting with entrepreneurs and CEO of start-up restaurant
business which will help me in gaining knowledge and increasing my skills.

The university event of Eventbrite will also help me in understanding the contractual
agreements, letter of appraisals and employment letter of conformation which will help me in
managing my documents. Moreover, during the event entrepreneurs and freelancers of
different fields will present their ideas as how to start up a business and manage cost and
expenditure that will build my cognitive abilities and decision making skills. One of the
crucial things that I need to consider includes of time management which will help me in

shaping my personal development process and perform my assigned jobs with higher
accountability and integrity.

The first part of the report was all about laying down a CV format for an aspirant candidate
who had experience in restaurant industry. Cover letter has also been included with the same
in behalf of the candidate in regards of applying for the post of general manager in Whitbread
restaurant. Through power-point presentation growth factors for restaurant industry along
with their future growth opportunities has been explained. Finally, personal development
