Hi. My name is Nguyễn Thị Mai Trang.
Let keep watching with my
TEDtalk for my first time. As you know this is the first time TED is organised in HNUE. This prove that HNUE is not only place for the students to learn but also for them to shine or releave all their talent, confidence or ability which they study when they are university. And for me, Today I want to tell all of you about my story “How did I choose education path ?” I am a middle child in the very normal family. When I was in secondary school and one day it occurred to me that I wanna be a teacher like the person standing in front of me. It is at my Engligh teacher who sets the foundation for me to practice my dream. Do you know that there is no matter to talk if stop there. I work hard day to day, follow to all my teacher’s instruction as well as follow in her footstep. Can you image that my face when presenting before my class.(Look at photo). Do you know who is this? It is like me when I was at grade 6. My cheeks flushed red because of being mentally ill. I’m always afraid that my classmates who are sitting below would jeered at me for my mistake. It seems like “Shaking like a leaf”. Maybe for other people, their mistake before the class or crowd is something assist you impress before crowd. I ask myself “Why was I out of the question to do that” and “Why was I in comfort zone”.My teacher said “The people sitting below did not have weak point ?” This minute urged me what I had to do. When I was sophomer year of high school, I had passion for education just because I wanna become a inspirational person. But every one say “No”. They said ‘How can I become teacher or lecture” They doubt about my ability. Moreover, Why do we have a small teacher like me. A teacher like me can’t teach or instruct the children. But not stop there, I always received the critization about my high-pitched voice which made me think what I could do for my life as well as other people. All I knew that I was bringing positive energy to other people. It is my unique selling point .But everything is not simple.Do you know all words people talked related to me broke my hearts to pieces and always went on a loop in my brain ?. I’m lucky to have my family and my relatives beside me. They said that my voice, my height was a part of my body. Why did you accept it.That moment made me think that Why did I try to turn out anyone else and Who I was. So why did I have to do that .From that moment, I just realized that person who you wanted to incline to is yourself. I tried to make my dream come true. I proved that your weakness is you obsstale but your sourse of motivation. Based on it, and now I’m here a student of honourable university, a leader in education sector in Vietnam-Hanoi National University of Education. I know that every single one of here have problems or pressure to overcome every single day as your study, your work, your family, …. But remember that be yourself make you diversity, special and unique in our paths. You are one and only. Please love yourself and believe in you way you chose, don’t change yourself for a pieces of slander. Hope that my story- a sophomore year student of HNUE how to choose education path will inspire everyone.
