COMPANY PROFILE

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is one of the Philippines’ largest and most
diversified conglomerates, generating about 5.9%. of the country’s GDP through its highly
integrated operations in food and beverages, packaging, fuel and oil, power, and
infrastructure.

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) was originally founded in 1890 as a single brewery
in the Philippines. The Company has since then transformed itself from a beverage, food
and packaging business into a diversified conglomerate with businesses in fuel and oil,
energy, infrastructure, and banking industries. Eventually one of their brands the San
Miguel has become one of the best-selling beers in the Southeast Asian region, and
among the top beer brands in the world. Aside from the San Miguel Brewery, Inc, their
other subsidiaries are the Ginebra San Miguel, Inc.; San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc.;
SMC Global Power Holdings Corp.; SEA Refinery Corporation; San Miguel Holdings Corp.;
and San Miguel Properties, Inc., which some of these are also market leaders in their
respective industry. San Miguel is also a majority owner of Petron Corporation, a major
player in the Philippine and Malaysian downstream oil markets.

Today, They are one of the nation’s largest employers, with a direct workforce of
over 24,000 employees. For each job created within the San Miguel system, many
additional jobs are created through suppliers, distributors, retailers and other business
partners. At present, we have more than 100 major facilities in the Philippines, Southeast
Asia, China, Australia, and New Zealand. Furthermore, SMC has foromed major strategic
partnerships with international companies, among them are Kirin Holdings Company,
Limited for beer; Hormel Foods International Corporation for processed meats; Nihon
Yamamura Glass Company, Ltd., Fuso Machine & Mold Mfg. Co. Ltd. and Can-Pack S.A.
for packaging products; and Korea Water Resources Corporation for its power business
