    REFLECTION PAPER

    The article “ UP student plagiarizes prize winning-photos” by Carol Ramoran is an


    open wider to people. People that claim ownership of a work that is not even their
    own work without the consent of real owner. This also known as plagiarism, and it is
    a crime.

    According to the article “ UP student plagiarizes winning- photos” The student named
    Mark Joseph Solis who graduated at University of Philippines or also known as “UP”
    the student claim the work of others, and this is not only the first that he plagiarized.
    This article is a shocked for me, because as far as I know that being enrolled and
    student at University of Philippines has a high standard. As a Filipino, I feel disgrace
    because it is international competition. Solis represent Philippines as is mentioned in
    article. Solis does not do this once but 5 times. The wrongdoing of Solis, his award
    has been forfeited and it is also a loss to Filipinos. What did Solis commit tarnish the
    image of all Filipinos’

    To sum it up an to share my conclusion, I am ashamed and also pity Solis, as we all


    know that being into an international competition is very hard. The article
    emphasized that plagiarism is a crime. It also gives awareness to us/ people to
    always have originality and do referencing or crediting the owner of the particular
    work.
