Assignment-2 “ADA Parking Lot Revisions”

Due: Progress drawings by Friday, November 5th, 7:00 PM

1) From the websites below, using the “Class 1.Office” space, note the parking spaces for every 1000 square feet of
building space. Figure out how much interior square footage you have inside the building. From within AutoCAD, create
a new layer called AREA and use the AutoCAD AREA command and draw an interior polyline around all the interior of
the exterior wall until it closes. After you do this, type Area in the command line and select “O” for Object and select
your new polyline. Then, on the command line, it will show you the area square footage. Once you find this, email me
the number and I will tell you if you are close within 100 square feet or not and then go back and design the ADA
parking & regular parking spaces in the building area shown on Assignment-1 and revise the parking from Assignment-1
to match the required parking of Assignment-2.
