    AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV

    Sanskrit is the most ancient language of the world. It is the storehouse


    of knowledge and is an unsurpassed and the most invaluable treasure of the world.
    This language is a true symbol of the great Indian tradition and thought, which has
    exhibited full freedom in the search of truth and has shown catholicity towards
    universal truth. This unique language contains not only good account of wisdom
    for the people of this country, but it is also an unparalleled and right way to acquire
    proper knowledge and is thus significant for the people of entire world.

    C-DAC Patna staunchly believes in developing and strengthening both culture and
    modernity alike. Giving a wider vision to this very thought and emotion we
    thought of incorporating the Sanskrit Language in this mission.

    Activity Detail:
    1. Sanskrit: The Notion of Infinity

    Sanskrit is a language of unrivaled richness and purity. Whenever we direct our


    attention to the Sanskrit literature the notion of infinity presents itself. Its
    unequalled transparency of structure gives Sanskrit the undisputable right to the
    first place amongst the tongues of the Indo-European family. Trying to keep the
    legacy of the language high we are going to talk about how Sanskrit as a language
    has changed and affected the ways of scholars, it would be a great initiative to
    introduce the same within ourselves, inculcating not only the heritage importance
    but also the extra dimensions the amalgamation of culture and newness can add.
    2. Socialize in Sanskrit & Shlok Recitation in Sanskrit

    This day we will have a short session where the interested members may
    give an introduction. The introduction will be in Sanskrit, a small ‘Myself’
    recitation.
    The second half of the session will be ‘Shlok Recitation’ In this session the
    interested participants may recite a shlok in Sanskrit that has impacted the
    most in their life, a shlok that they can relate to the most or a shlok that
    motivated them in the most difficult of times.

    3. Read Me an Epic

    On this day, the participants may read an excerpt from any epic of their
    choice. A favorite part of the epic/ the part that interested them the most/
    the part that motivated and moved them the most, the participants may chose
    according to their preference.

    4. Self-Prepared Speech in Sanskrit (any topic)

    The participants may choose any topic of their choice and give a short
    recitation of the same in Sanskrit. The topic can be from any genre or object
    of your liking. The speech has to be short and need not be made very
    lengthy.

    5. Story Telling of Panchatantra in Sanskrit

    We have all grown up listening to the stories of Panchatantra, some parables,


    some fun stuff, some emotional ones, but all of it whenever recalled, stirs the
    best memories of childhood. We may try to revive those moments but in its
    original flavor, that is Sanskrit. The participants may choose their favorite
    story and recite them in Sanskrit.
