19. In a game, there are 16 players, each assigned to a different number from 1 to 16.
Alfred is assigned to ‘1’ and Benny is assigned to ‘2’.

The game consists of two rounds in total. In the first round, the 16 players are
randomly arranged into 4 groups of four players.

Then, the four players in the same group take turns to draw a ball from a black
box containing 5 red balls and 7 yellow balls without replacement. The player
who can draw a red ball first can enter the second round. The other players in the
group just leave the game.

The four players in the second round follow the same procedure in the first round
except that the player who can draw a red ball first wins the game. The number of
tokens the winner can get is the number of balls the winner has drawn out in the
second round.

The order of drawing balls in all the groups in both rounds is based on the
ascending assigned numbers of the players.

(a) Find the probability that Alfred and Benny are arranged into the same group in
the first round. (2 marks)

(b) Find the probability that Alfred can enter the second round. (2 marks)

(c) Find the probability that Alfred and Benny are in the same group in one of the
rounds. (2 marks)

(d) It is known that Alfred and Benny are in the same group in one of the rounds.

(i) Find the probability that Alfred can enter the second round.

(ii) Warrior claimed that the expected number of tokens got by Alfred in
the game is less than twice of that got by Benny. Do you agree with his
claim? Explain briefly with calculations.
