1 Important Notes
The MIOS 4 must only be serviced or repaired following this service manual.
Maintenance
Modifications and maintenances must only be performed by persons explicitly authorized by
Haag-Streit-Surgical. For maintenances only original parts from the manufacturer have to be
installed. After maintenance or technical modifications, the unit must be readjusted following
our technical instructions.
In case of technical inquiries, the unit name, the reference number (REF), and the series
number have to be indicated.
For installation, dismantling, and exchange of components, the actual national laws and
directions regarding medical products (e.g. traceability, approval of added components,
electrical safety) have to be followed. In case of doubt, please contact Haag-Streit-Surgical.
Accessories
Only electrically driven accessories must be used which are approved for safety-related
applicability by a testing laboratory responsible for testing the unit being ready for use (by a
relevant certificate).
