    Job Opportunity

    The Tannahill Centre is a community-run hub located at the heart of Ferguslie Park. Accessible to the
    whole community it has a Doctors Surgery, NHS Clinic, Pharmacy, Library, Nursery and Post Office.
    The Centre also directly manages a number of community spaces and a community café.

    We have recently been awarded funding from the Scottish Government’s Communities Resilience
    Fund and Ferguslie Park Housing Association to pilot the re-establishment of a youth club within the
    Tannahill Centre. The Youth Club is likely to take place on a Monday or Friday evening. Funding is
    initially till March 2022; however, it is our intention to seek funding to extend the delivery of the youth
    club beyond this period.

    Senior Youth Worker, approx. 14 hours per week


    £14.40 per hour
    We are looking to recruit a Senior Youth Worker to oversee the running of our youth club activity. The
    Senior Youth Worker will be responsible for planning the delivery of activities in consultation with
    children and young people, ensure effective implementation of health and safety and child protection
    procedures and for supervising staff and volunteers. Successful candidates will have experience of
    working with young people and managing child protection issues.

    Youth Worker, approx. 6 hours per week


    £10.50 per hour
    We are also looking to recruit an additional three youth workers to work alongside our Senior Youth
    Worker. The Youth Workers will act as a role model for children and young people and work within
    our child protection and health and safety procedures to engage young people in activities that build
    their skills, knowledge and confidence. Successful candidate will have experience of working with
    children and young people in a paid or voluntary capacity.

    All roles will initially be engaged on a self-employed basis and the hourly rates are reflective of
    the workers responsibility to pay their own tax and national insurance contributions.
