Service positions
NOTICE
The hydraulic oil should be at operating temperature 20-40°C.
NOTICE
The standby (hold) pressure of the pumps should be the same. The steering will be sluggish at low engine speeds if
the pressure difference is too great.

3. Disconnect the signal line (LS–line) that comes from the steering and dumping valve.

3. T-coupling
5. NOTE!
Do not plug the connection to the T–coupling!
Instead, connect a suitable hose to the T-coupling and drain it in a suitable container. The signal is now
disconnected to pumps P1, P2, and P3.
7. Connect suitable adapter with the pressure sensor. Connect the pressure gauge to the steering and dumping
valve's pressure check connection M2, see Pressure check connections, description.

WARNING
Risk of burns! Use protective work gloves.
8. Turn down the pressure on pump P1 and P2 by loosening the lock nut on the flow compensator's adjusting screw,
and turn the adjusting screw counter-clockwise ½ turn on each pump.

12. Adjust the pressure on P1 as follows; on the flow compensator, pass the pressure for P3 and then go back to the
correct pressure.
Clockwise = higher pressure
Counter-clockwise = lower pressure
13. Adjust the standby pressure on P2 as follows; on the flow compensator, pass the pressure for P1 and P3 and then
go back to the correct pressure.
Clockwise = higher pressure
Counter-clockwise = lower pressure
14. Remove the drain hose from the T– coupling and reinstall the signal line (LS– line).
15. Check the neutral position pressure by starting the engine, carefully turn the steering wheel back and forth, and
read off the lowest pressure.
For correct neutral position pressure, see Hydraulic pressure, specifications.
If correct pressure is not obtained when measuring, it may be due to the back-pressure valve (MTRV1) in the
steering and dumping valve.
16. Remove the measuring equipment from the steering and dumping valve's pressure check connection M2.
