Every man’s dream is to have the perfect
companion. However, in order to have one, you
must first be able to get one. Most believe such a task can be extremely difficult, yet if done properly, it can be accomplished swiftly and efficiently. In fact, there are only a few basic procedures to getting a girl. The first step of this process is rather quite simple; get her attention. Initiating conversation is half the battle. As well, it is very effective to make frequent eye contact. Let her catch you staring and smile at every chance you get. Your goal is to be fairly subtle, while still making it obvious that you want her. Once you have succeeded in being noticed, you are ready for the next step. Be funny, be confident, but be yourself. The absolute worst thing you can do when trying to get a girl is to change your personality. Self-assurance is indispensable and by altering your character, you are telling her that you lack confidence. Having a sense of humor is also very important. It is absolutely crucial to make her smile, even if it requires making a fool of yourself. If you can’t make her laugh, you don’t stand a chance. Now that she’s interested, entice her by making her feel special. Without being too overwhelming, attempt to spend as much time as possible with her. Devote yourself to making her feel different than the rest by going out of your way to please her. Little things count most. For example, cancel a pre- planned weekend with the boys and take her out for dinner and a movie instead. Randomly buy her flowers and she will melt. Let her hear things she wants to hear. Compliment her hair or her outfit, but don’t go overboard. Too much of a good thing gets taken for granted. It’s also essential that you be interested, or pretend to be interested, in things she likes. If she plays sports, watch her game, even in the pouring rain. Once she feels a little closer to you, it’s time for the final step. Probably the most difficult yet most important step to getting a girl is to keep her guessing. Although it sounds foolish, you must back off, tremendously. Play games with her head. Make her jealous by flirting with other girls, especially with her friends. Cancel a date. Get her to wonder what you’re doing instead of hanging out with her. Before you know it, she’ll be all yours! It has been said that Kool-Aid makes the world go 'round. Let it be advised, however, that without the proper tools and directions, the great American beverage is nothing more than an envelope of unsweetened powder. There are three simple steps to create this tastes-like-candy concoction. Picking the proper packet of flavoring is the first step in making Kool-Aid. Check the grocer's shelf for a wide variety, ranging from Mountain Berry Punch to Tropical Blue Hawaiian. The packets usually run under 65 cents. If you’re overwhelmed by the choices, pick the lemonade flavor; it’s a simple choice, but you can always try other flavors once you have the technique down. After choosing the flavor that best suits your taste buds, the second step is making sure that your kitchen houses some necessary equipment for making the Kool-Aid. Find a two-quart pitcher. Plastic is nice, but glass pitchers allow the liquid to shine through and add festive color to any refrigerator shelf. Next, find a long-handled wooden spoon, a one-cup measuring cup, a water faucet that spouts drinkable water, usable white sugar, and an ice cube tray full of ice. Then, you are ready to mix. Grab the left edge of the Kool-Aid packet between your thumb and index finger. With your other hand, begin peeling the upper- left corner until the entire top of the envelope is removed. Next, dump the contents of the envelope into the pitcher. Notice how the powder floats in the air before settling on the bottom of the pitcher. Then, take the measuring cup and scoop two cups of sugar into the pitcher as well. At this point, adding the water is a crucial step. Place the pitcher under the water faucet and slowly turn on the cold water. If the water is turned on too quickly, powder will fly all over when the initial gusts of water hit and you’ll inhale Kool-aid dust. Fourth, when you are finished mixing the Kool-aid, rinse off the spoon and the measuring cup. You’ll know the mixture is finished when there are no granules or specks to be seen in the liquid, as they have all dissolved. Take a glass from the cupboard; an eight ounce glass is usually sufficient, but stronger thirst might necessitate a thirty-two ounce mug. Add ice and then fill the glass with Kool-Aid. Find a comfortable chair, put your feet up, and drink away. After all, Kool-aid makes the world go round. Renting an apartment is a sound idea for young people who have a decent job, but are not ready to buy a home yet; however, renting can sometimes be a lengthy and nerve-racking process. It requires proper planning and research to find an apartment that will suit your needs and be cost-effective. You will most likely have to spend a lot of time and effort in your search. The following are several tips that can make the process of renting an apartment easier. Decide on the length of time you plan to rent the apartment. Usually, real estate agents do not issue legal contracts for a period of time shorter than six months for an apartment or one year for houses. If renting with someone else, this can lower costs considerably for you, but you need to be sure this is a person you are willing to sign a lease with. Do you have compatible schedules, lifestyles, or definitions of “clean?” Do they have a job so they can be depended on to pay their portion of the rent? If something happens and they leave, the landlord can come after you for the funds. The next important step is to determine how much money you can afford to pay monthly for an apartment. Most financial experts claim the rent should not be more than 30% of your monthly income. Remember, no matter what, you must be able to pay your rent regularly; delayed payments will not speak well in your favor. Getting evicted would be even worse. Realize you’ll likely need enough for first and last month’s rent, and security, up front. Also consider if you can afford renter’s insurance to protect your things. Determine your needs. Before starting to search for an apartment, clarify what your requirements will be for your living space—amenities such as square footage, number of bathrooms or bedrooms, a separate kitchen or studio—think about these features, and then decide exactly what you need. Will the apartment be furnished? Are utilities included? Internet? Is the apartment pet friendly? Will you have a parking space, or off-street parking at all? Keep your ideal monthly rent in mind. Location is also important. How close is this place to your job, school, a grocery store, etc.? If you do not know the neighborhood, you might want to ask your friends or people you know about its safety, transportation, and so on. Gather all the documents that will support your ability to pay for the apartment. Usually, a verification of employment and paycheck stubs are enough. If you are renting an apartment for the first time, provide some references that will speak in favor of your dependability, including at least one professional reference. Think of your coaches, instructors, or employers; ask one if he/she would be willing to act as a reference. Browse the Internet, monitor rental magazines or brochures about real estate, or ask your friends and colleagues whether they know someone who has an apartment for rent. Don’t assume every cheap apartment listed on Facebook or Craigslist is perfect. A sound idea would be to make an acquaintance with several real estate agents. They can call you if they find a living space that matches your requirements. When you find a suitable apartment, tour it with the property owner or a real estate agent. Note that living above or below others can come with problems. Check out your neighbors. Are these people who are friendly? Too friendly? How social do you want to be? When inside, pay attention to possible damages or defects; take notes on everything you notice. It may be prudent to take pictures of the apartment. If you decide to rent it, be sure to include all the defects in the rental contract so you do not have to pay for them later. Before signing the leasing contract, carefully read it from cover-to-cover. Check whether all terms and conditions correspond with those that have been negotiated; look for vague terms that might allow your landlord to change the rental conditions without prior notice, such as raising the rental payment or acting in a way that would infringe on your rights as a renter. Give the contract to your attorney, or a competent friend, and ask them to check it for you. After you make sure everything is all right, sign it, and prepare to move into your new apartment.
