Hello Ma’am, Hello Classmates.

My name is Reyjan L. Apolonio from BSN-2D

Today, I am going to do the procedure of CHN Bag Technique

First of all, Bag technique is a tool by which the nurse, during her visit will enable her to perform a

nursing

procedure with ease and deftness, to save time and effort, with the end view of rendering

effective nursing care to clients.

Procedure:

1. Find a table and line it. Use a plastic as the base and followed by the manila paper. So that our

bag cannot be contaminated.

2. Ask for a basin if they don’t have a sink with water.

3. Get the soap in a soap dish and also the towel.

4. Perform hand hygiene. For us to prevent infection.

5. Put on the apron. It will protect our uniform from bodily fluids that we can encounter later on

throughout the procedure.

6. Put out the necessary articles. For instance, when we do fundic height measurement, we will

take out the tape measure and if we going to do perineal cleaning, we need to take out cotton

balls, irrigating solution and so on.

7. Close the bag and place on one side. So that it will prevent cross contamination.

8. Do the specific care to the patient.

9. After the procedure is done, we have to disinfect the equipment. So that we prevent cross

contamination. Wipe it or use solution to clean it.

10. After that we have to perform hand washing to prevent transmission of any type of infection.

11. Open the bag and return everything.

12. Remove the apron and place it back in the bag. We have to fold it away from us and the soiled

part should be fold in and clean side out. This will prevent us from spreading microorganisms.

13. Remove the lining and keep it in the bag then put it again in the bag. The soiled part should be

fold in and clean side out.

14. Disposed all used materials in the proper bin.

15. Document the findings and the procedure care that is done.
16. Arrange the appointment for the next visit. And we agreed upon that we’ll do it next week

again.
