Position
 Before using the Miniaturized Ice Plant, make sure that the
equipment is placed in a dry and well-ventilated site away
from any heat sources.
 The equipment must be placed on a leveled surface.
 The equipment requires sufficient clearance around it to
provide adequate ventilation – 10 cm at all sides.

Safety Precautions
 Before ANY maintenance activity, pull the plug out of the
socket by gripping the plug. DO NOT pull on the plug cord.
 If the main supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced.
 DO NOT use double-wire extension cords.
 DO NOT attempt any repair on the equipment yourself.
Repairs carried out by someone without the relevant training
are putting their safety at risk.
 This equipment is not intended for use by persons with lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the equipment by
a person responsible for their safety.
 DO NOT play with the equipment.
 DO NOT damage the refrigerant circuit.
 DO NOT touch the condenser coils because it is hot and you
might get burned.

WARNING: This equipment should be operated by authorized personnel who is

equipped of the right knowledge on it.

Mini Ice Plant Information
Mini Ice Plant is a system of mechanical elements that will turn
water into ice. The system has four (4) main components that will
maintain the refrigeration cycle (compressor, condenser, evaporator
and expansion valve). Additionally, it uses a refrigerant, a substance
that is used to provide cooling effect.

Refrigerant Information
The refrigerant used in this equipment is R22. Short name for
Halocarbon Compound CHCIF2 (Monochlorodifluoromethane). R22 is
non-toxic and non-flammable that makes this refrigerant highly safe
for domestic and industrial purpose. The boiling point of R22 is -40.8
degree Celsius (-41.4 degree Fahrenheit).

How to Operate?
1. Mix brine solution with the ratio of 3L water: 1 kg salt.
2. Put the brine solution inside the freezing tank enough to
submerge the evaporator coils.
3. Put water (0.75 liters) on each ice cans. Then place it inside the
ice can holder inside the freezing tank.
4. Close the freezing tank. Make sure it is properly closed.
5. Insert the plug in the socket; turn on the circuit breaker.
6. Rotate the switch (90 degrees) clockwise to start the fan and
agitator motor. Rotate another (90 degrees) clockwise to start
the compressor.
7. Wait until the water inside the freezing tank freezes into ice.
8. To turn off the system by rotating the switch to
counterclockwise (180 degrees).

Maintenance
 System must be cleaned regularly.
 Before cleaning, you MUST switch off and disconnect the
system to the socket.
 Clean the fan of condenser with wet towel to remove dust.
 If the system is being used, remove the brine to the freezing
tank. It will make the freezing tank rust.
 When removing the brine, use a small container to fetch the
brine until small amount left.
 Use dry towel to remove the remaining brine inside the
freezing tank.
 Use wet towel to clean the remaining substance.
