    IV. Objectives:

    a. To promote equity of service provision by enhancing the opportunity of access to


    library services.
    b. To promote reading in remote areas during this pandemic
    c. To originate a new learning model which creates proper atmospheres and
    surroundings responding to the needs of target groups.
    d. To expand learning opportunities and create reading habits of student of Tabaco
    National High School

    V. Rationale:

    With the Tabaco National High School Library closed during the pandemic and
    students can’t go to other libraries, we can bring the library to them. The Bookmobile is a
    unique strategy to address the lack of school or other local libraries for students. It is
    designed to operate during the weekdays with a specially equipped van that will convey a
    small library of books and other literacy materials in order for students in certain areas to
    have book reading access. As part of the mobile library, the van will also convey a small
    collection of foldable chairs, floor mats and foldable gazebos which, upon arrival in the
    host community, will be assembled into an outdoor reader’s hub. In addition, it will
    operate a book lending club in each community visited, which will allow students to
    borrow books and return to an appointed Community book club representative upon
    completion.
