Describe the benefits of helping your clients identify their core values. How does this help
improve their lives for the better?
What are SMART goals? What are some areas of life in which clients may have their own
goals?
Work your way through the following paragraphs and insert the most appropriate words

to progress on the path that you really want. This may involve making extra time for
learning, studying, training or practice.
Activity #2
Each client may have different goals, and these may be related to several different
areas of life, including family, career, finances, leisure/hobbies, relationships, spiritual
or physical health, fitness and personal development.
Regardless of the area of life that the goal relates to, it needs to satisfy the SMART
criteria, so that the client is able to make a plan of action, in order to achieve this goal.
