7 INITIALIZATION OF THE MRF

OPERATE FROM A CONFIGURED INSTALLER PC

Note: In this document we understand by MRF the IP media 3000from Audiocodes.

7.1 Preparation of the “IPmedia 3000”files

- On the INSTALLER PCcreate a folder named MRF in C:\
- Insert the : "Divers" CD and copy the following file under C:\MRF : BOARD.ini .
- Insert the "IP3000" CD and copy the following files under C:\MRF :
• TP6310_Fx.x.x.x.cmp (where the value of x.x.x.x represents the release of the IP3000
firmware)
• tonaxx.dat (where the value of xx is the ISO code of the country)
• E10_filmes_FR.dat or E10_filmes_EN.dat (depending on the country language, the client
can provide another file afterwards)
- Check the BOARD.ini file using a text editor :
• Verify the name in CallProgressTonesFilename (see the .dat file name to be loaded under
C:\MRF )
(example => CallProgressTonesFilename = ’tonaml.dat’)
• Verify the name in VoicePromptsFilename (see the .dat file name to be loaded under
C:\MRF )
(example => VoicePromptsFileName = ’E10_filmes_FR.dat’)

7.2 Installation and configuration of the "Bootp"

utility software
- Change the TCP/IP parameters in the INSTALLER PC . Declare in "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
- Properties" window:
• for the IP address : the value of the PCFS address (from the "Low Level Design" document)
• for the Subnet mask the value of the PCFS Subnet mask (from the "Low Level Design"
document)
• leave empty the other fields and click the OK button
- Disconnect the Ethernet cables from the 2 ports of the MRF controller module (note their positions,
to be able to reconnect them after the MRF is installed) .
- Connect the INSTALLER PC to the Ethernet 1 port of the MRF controller module .
- On the " IP3000" CD, in the BootP & TFTP Configuration utility folder, open the file named
BootP.zip and click to execute theSETUP.EXE file .

7.3 Initialization of the MRF

- In the Servicesmenu of the BootP application click on Clients to open the Client Configuration
window.
- Click on the Add New Client button.
- Fill in the fields with the corresponding values, as follows :
• Client MAC : fill in the last 6 hexa characters to obtain the "IPmedia 3000" MAC address
as it is noted in the "IPmedia 3000" delivery documents

3BW 94544 AAAA RJZZA Ed.18 31 / 114

SITE CREATION - COMMISSIONING GUIDE - 5060 MGC10

• Client Name : for example, IP3000

• Template : <none>
• IP : the management IP address of the MRF (from the "Low Level Design" document)
• Subnet : the mask of the MRF ’s management interface (from the "Low Level Design" docu-
ment)
• Gateway : leave the value at 0
• TFTP Server IP : the address of the PC INSTALL
• Boot File : select the TP6310_Fx.x.x.x.cmp file
• INI File : select the BOARD.ini file
• Check the Flash Burn (-fb) button
- Click the Apply & Reset button .
- A pop-up warning window will appear with the following message : Gateway is "0" . Is it OK?
- For example, see the following image :

SITE CREATION - COMMISSIONING GUIDE - 5060 MGC10

- Click the Yes button. Click the OK button to close the Client Configuration window and to return
to the BootP ’s main window .
- Power off the MRF and then power on the MRF (to initiate the file transfer using BootP) .
- Wait until all the 4 files are 100 % transferred (about 5 minutes) as you can see in the following
example

- Close the BootP application .

- Open a http browser (example: Internet Explorer), type the MRF ’s management address in the
address field and use the following account information to access the MRF ’s home page :
• user name : Admin
• password : Admin
Note: If it’s not possible to open the management interface of the MRF from installation PC,
this could be opened from PCFS after the MRF is reconnect to R1 and R2(port 13).

8 HOW TO CONNECT INSTALL PC TO THE PLAT-

FORM

How to connect Install PC and serial connection to the platform.

- Install PC must be connected to the platform using an Ethernet straight cable. This cable must be
plugged between the Ethernet interface of install PC (see chapter 5.5) and the Ethernet interface of
the MALBAN switch LSN0 board slot 7, on one of the 4 Gigabit Ethernet Base links (GE).
- The PC used to access the serial link of ROUZIC or SHMC boards (BIOS access, board access) is
connected to the CP mini USB port.
