I. OVERVIEW OF MUNICIPAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The association in each barangay specifically La Esperanza, Lomonay, Kamarahan and

Barangay Mabuhay was formed but the members lacked the knowledge of what their role really

was in the formed association. Perhaps this is because not one activity has taken place during the

social preparation that should have been done and taught them what they should know about

having an association and the purpose of the project that the DSWD will give them. As an

implementing PDO, I will make sure grant recipients are well versed in what they should know.

They should learn more about their role as a member or official of the association through

training and orientation and by coping up with all the activities that was not carried out during

the social preparation stage of implementation. They must learn especially the Technical and

managerial skills so that their enterprise will surely sustain the existence in the market for long

period of time.

The SLPAs project proposal is at the current stage of review and approval. The only

problem is the documents are incomplete and do not match the date when the action took place.

An inconsequential matter, but the whole thing is being simplified now in order to correct the

slip-ups and still pass what must be passed.

For the implementation of the Frs project, it is currently in the early stages of

implementation communicating with the people involved in the implementation of the project

(AFP-PNP) to serve as a guide to the actions to be taken and to create frequent coordination for

peaceful, careful and safety dealings with the former rebels.

IV. MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

A. Updates on EO 70 Implementation

 The project proposal has already been submitted and will only wait for notification that it

has been approved so the project can start very soon.

 Activities like leadership training, organizational building MEDT Training for SLPAs are

already scheduled to take place as implementation of actions not taken in the initial

implementation of the SLP.

 FRs pre and initial implementation is already ongoing. The interview of the beneficiaries

will be held as soon as the majority and the officials involved have decided on an

effective way of communicating with them quickly, carefully and safely.

President Roxas Munipality and LGUs with the partnership of DSWD’s main goal is to
provide in the right time necessary social protection programs and services to the
families from conflict-affected vulnerable areas and former rebels by insurgencies
such as the provision of interventions, cash fund grant, case management and
referral services, and resource augmentation and technical support, among others.

The Department is hopeful that with the collaboration with AFP-PNP, other agencies
and stakeholders in the EO70 implementation will strengthen the peace-building
initiatives of the present Administration, especially in reaching the unreached
community, far from economic growth, calamities and conflict-stricken communities.
