Professional Projects Undertaken:

Maintenance Data Pages

Software : C++, Python script, Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2003

and VISTA
Team Size :8
Duration : July 2009 to till date

Description:
The project involves Code inspection and Requirements Based Testing, Hardware-Software
integration testing the product is designed for maintaining and simulating the processed
input from the other applications in the form of Data pages. Maintenance Data Pages is
embedded software which will be used to simulate different sensor input for General
Processing Module.

The concept used in Maintenance Data Pages(MDP) is Model Based Development

(MBD). Model Based Development is mainly used to construct, test and analyze the design
before writing any code rather than writing skeleton code, updating the design, writing the source
code, testing it, and changing the code based on the results, and so on. The models are developed
through the definition and configuration(XML) files and running through the python scripts. The
configuration Management of all these process is done using the tool Rational ClearCase and
Visual Source Safe.

2
The software runs under the Virtual Integrated Software Testbed for Avionics (VISTA)
simulation environment. VISTA will be used to support desktop debugging of application
software, offshore development and for Integration testing by Structural Coverage Analysis
(SCA).

I was responsible for:

• Leading the team and Review of Test Artifacts
• Work allocation to the team members
• Developing C++ work products
• Involved in Defect prevention Activities
• Analyzing the requirement and reference documents

IFIS (Integrated Flight Information System)

Software : C++ and Python

Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2003
Team Size : 12
Duration : August 2008 to July 2009

Description:
This project enables the advanced capabilities that includes electronic charts, graphical weather
and enhanced map displays to providing situational awareness, reducing pilot workload,
improving overall flight deck efficiency and empowers the flight crew to make better decisions.
It integrated with the FMS (Flight Management System) and FSU (File Server Unit) then provides
the information such as a georeferenced aircraft position and airport diagrams through electronic
charts.
Graphical weather details occurs through XM and Data Link services, XM weather is the
continuous broadcast and the DLGW (Data Link Graphical Weather) is a request–replay. Below
are the products of the Graphical Weather.

Turbulence display capability

Icing conditions display
Wind direction and temperature
Graphical weather capability
Echo tops and movement

I was responsible for:

• Leading the team from the Onsite
• Developed the work products
• Visual verification through python and VISTA
• Review the products
• Providing technical assistance to the team

ARINC 661 Graphics Sever

Software : C++, C, UNIX, SQL and

Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2003
Team Size : 14
Duration : January 2006 to July 2008

Description:
The project involves Development of Code according to the DesignDocument and Review the
code for ARINC 661 Graphic Server system
The ARINC 661 Graphics Server (AGS) provides all of the graphics generation services and
manages the displays input devices, such as the CCD and Keypad. The AGS also directly drives
the flight deck displays with the graphical images.
Communication between the displays application and the AGS is described by the ARINC 661
protocol. The displays applications send parameter updates to the AGS and the AGS returns
events to the displays applications as the input devices interact with the graphical objects

The software is developed in C++, compliant for Level A.

I was responsible for:

• Developing the work products as per D0-178B and OOTiA guidelines
• Review the developed products
• Interacting with the client for technical clarifications, project status and estimations
• Work allocation to the team members
• Providing technical assistance to the team
• Conducting meeting related to Rick Management.
• Defect Prevention Analysis for the Project
