I think that is a beautiful city because it has all the quality for entertaining all the
people that visits Las Vegas; it is the only place where dreams become reality,
fortunes are won and lost, and the party never stops morning, noon, and night! A lot
of people from different countries come to Las Vegas and it is called the sin city,
too.

1. Write two ways that Las Vegas was different in the 1940s and 1950s from
the way it is today.
In those years the hotels rooms cost between three and eight dollars a night.
Today tourists pay up to 400 for a luxury room. The image of the Las Vegas
strip is more different 0, too than before. And the crime is not very important in
Las Vegas anymore. The food was cheaper and everyone had more fun.
2. Write two ways that Las Vegas is the same as it was in 1950.
Gambling, prostitution, and no-wait weddings are still legal there. Ritzy hotels
also still offer fine dining, classy shops, and luxurious health spa. The gamblers
still come, but tourists looking for a relaxing time come, too.
