Power 24-48VDC
ICX-500 shall be powered from a DC power supply with nominal
voltage 24VDC or 48VDC. In order to comply with UL safety
requirements, ICX-500 has to be powered by a Limited Power
Source (LPS) or PS2 (based on IEC/UL 62368-1 definition) or NEC
Class 2 source of supply, with maximum power of 100W.
Zenitel's PSU IPS-AC1 (1002510000) meets this criterion.
In order to comply with the requirements for a marine type
approved system, a 24VDC power supply that is compliant with
IEC60945 and has a valid certificate under the relevant class shall
be used.

2 Wall/Shelf Mounting of the ICX-500
Using the IA-MB1 Mounting Bracket, the ICX-500 can be mounted on any flat surface such as a wall or shelf. The
following procedure is for a mounting on a wall as an example.
1. Mount the bracket to the wall using the 3 screws provided.
2. Slide the 4 mounting clips into the side walls of the bracket
To have logo and connection annotations in the correct viewing orientation, you may slide the unit either top or bottom
up into the bracket depending on whether it is mounted on a wall or shelf.
3 Rack Mounting of the ICX-500
Using the IA-RS1 Rack Shelf, two ICX-500 units can be mounted side by side in a 19” 1HU rack.
1. Slide the 4 mounting clips into the side walls of the rack shelf.
3. Use the 2 countersunk type M4x8 screws to secure the unit to the rack shelf via the 2 diagonally positioned
securing holes.
The securing holes can also be used to mount the unit to a shelf other than the IA-RS1. Note that the maximum
insertion depth is 6 mm.
The ICX-500 is intended for use in restricted access areas for trained service personnel and/or
operators, and is not to be installed in locations where children are likely to be present.
The WEEE Directive does not legislate that Zenitel, as a ‘producer’, shall collect ‘end of life’ WEEE.
This ‘end of life’ WEEE should be recycled appropriately by the owner who should use proper treatment and
recycling measures. It should not be disposed to landfill.
Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources
and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin
symbol shown.
Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after August 13, 2005, and should be disposed
of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
