Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course students will be able to:


1. Explain children literacy and language development in ESL learners.(C6, A4, P2, PLO3,
CTPS3)
2. Evaluate the roles of teachers and family in developing literacy. (C5, PLO3, CTPS2)
3. Create age-appropriate activities with materials developed for language learning, in
groups. (C6, P7, PLO4, PLO5, CS3, TS1)
4. Design assessment tools to evaluate the development of language literacy. (C6, PLO2,
PLO3, CTPS5)
5. Elaborate on the significance of understanding literacy to the teaching of language in
the primary ESL classroom. (C6, A2, PLO3, PLO6, CTPS5, LL2)
