ENHANCEMENTS AND ADDITIONS IN THIS CORRECTION OF LEGAL FUNCTION

New Wage Type

Technical wage type Basic Salary Overflow (/430) is provided to store the exceeding amount from basic
salary that has to be added to the variable salary pool calculation. If can be used in the manual
implementation steps listed below. Alternatively, you can create your own wage type for this purpose by
copying wage type /430.

Enhanced Customizing Activity

The following change was made to Customizing for Payroll Egypt (PY-EG), under Social Insurance > Define
Social Insurance Funds, Salary Pools, & Base Wage Type:

Enhanced Payroll Function

Payroll function Egypt: Social Insurance Calculation (EGSI) has been enhanced to take the following steps:

• Process first the salary pool that has the Basic Salary Pool flag.
• Store the exceeding amount from basic salary pool into the overflow wage type.

MANUAL IMPLEMENTATION STEPS

Editing SI Salary Pool Base and Attributes View

Note: Skip this step if you have installed the solution through the corresponding Support Package. This step
is only required when implementing the solution using the correction instructions from the SAP note.

1. Execute transaction SE11.


2. Change the view V_T7EG03.
3. Navigate to the View Flds tab page and enter the following data:

4. Save your entries and activate the view.

(Optional) Create Wage Type for Salary Pool Overflow

5. Execute transaction OH11.


6. Select Copy for the method of maintenance and enter Egypt country grouping.
7. Enter the following data:

8. Save your entries.

Configure Basic Salary Pool

1. In Customizing for Payroll Egypt (PY-EG), choose Social Insurance > Define Social Insurance Funds,
Salary Pools, & Base Wage Type.
2. Navigate to SI Fund Attributes > SI Salary Pool Base and Attributes.
3. Select the basic salary pool that you have configured and press the (Details) button.
4. In Overflow Wage Type, enter the wage type that you have created to hold the exceeding amount from
basic salary that has to be added to the variable salary pool calculation.
5. Select the Basic Salary Pool checkbox.
6. Save your entries.

Configure Variable Salary Pool

1. From the same customizing activity, navigate back to SI Fund Attributes > SI Salary Pool Base and
Attributes.
2. Select the variable salary pool that you have configured and navigate to Salary Pool Wage Types from
the left-hand panel.

3. Create a new entry for the wage type that you have created to hold the exceeding amount from basic
