Task 2 :
Situation : Your friends has just passed the university entrance exam.
He/she has been given some money for establishment. He is considering
buying

My friends has just passed the university entrance exam, so among three
options such as a mobile phone, a laptop, a digital camera, I believe that a
laptop which is the best choice for my friends because of these reasons A laptop
can be a great tool for helping you in your studies. Being able to type up the
notes and papers makes writing and editing easier
and save them in organized files, In addition, accessing the Internet puts you in
touch with a world of information that can help her understand any subject. A
mobile phone will also a good idea however, it can not be the most necessary
for her study at university and she has just bought a new mobile which still
works well now. A digital camera is not the best option from my perspective
because it is very costly, and a smart phone would provide a great feature of
taking many beautiful photos. It has one purpose for taking photos and it is not
as useful for studying or entertaining as a laptop.
Therefore, a laptop is the most useful thing for a freshman because of its
numerous benefits in the modern life.

These days, internet plays an important part of our lives and it brings us many
advantages to people in many ways.  It has a huge source of information which
can help people know more about the world and broaden their minds about
nature and society. it allows everyone to seach a large number information
about many aspects. The internet helps us to connect with many people, our
friends and relatives through social networking sites.For example, we can
communicate with our friends by using facebook or gmail which build a good
relationship with other people. An additional benefit is that internet is a great
means of entertaining. People can read news, play games, watch movies or
listen to music to reduce stress. In addition, internet is also a great mean of
educations, especially during corona virus pandemic when we can not go to
school, we can join in online classes in oder not to interrupt the shool
cirriculum. To sum up, internet has made our live better and help everyone
close together.

Computers has negative effects on our life.

Today, it is true that computers bring us many advantages to improve our lives,
besides, Despite its positive influence on modern society, it firmly believe that
computers has detrimental impacts to a certain extent.Firstly,different tasks are
performed automatically by using computers. It reduces the needs of people
and increase the unemployment in human life.An additional drawbacks is
people often have tendency of easily addicted to the computers. Most children
tend to spend much time playing computer games or watching videos on
computers.It makes them have some health problems such as eyes problems,
overweight or mental health caused by keeping staying for so long time in front
of a computer Moreover, spending a long time using computers, people can lack
of social interation and they do not have much time talk with family or relatives,
neighborhood. As a result, it can build a close relationship in the family or in
the neighborhood. addition, the data stored on the personal computers which
can be accessed by unauthorized person through network. It has created serious
problem for the data security. Finally, when every individuals use a computer,

UNIT 6 : TRANSPORT
Task 2/Your friends, who are a group of students , are planing a trip from DN to
HCM city.They are considering travelling by train, by car or by plane. In your
opinion, what is the best choice?
From my point of view, traveling

 Among 2 options, I think car is the best choice for students who are
planing a trip from DN to HCM city because of these reasons. It is a time-
saving means of transport with affordable prices. Travelling by car is so
fast and it can get to the destination the next morning. In case you want to
visit some interesting places, we can stop to see beautiful places and
enjoy many special food. I do not believe that travelling by plane is a
good idea because the price is too expensive.Although it is faster than
travel by car, students will not have many chances for seeing sightseeing
a long the trip. Traveling by train is also a good option, but it is too slow
and it takes more one day to reach the destination and it is not a
convenient way of enjoy the beautiful view along the roads. To sum
up,By car is the most convenient kinds of transport which is suuitable for
 the students who don’t have much money to save money but love
experiencing something interesting during the trip.

What are the most serious transport problems in your country?
The traffic is busy and narrow streets and traffic jams often take place during
rush hours after working or schooling,busy traffic is one of the most reason
which cause high risks of road accident, moreover, some crossroads does not
have traffic lights, which is dangerous for traffic participants. Public transport:
unsatisfactory: dirty, old facilities, no airconditioning, untimely, careless
drivers.Another serious transport problems is route system, it is not suitable for
cars, just for motorbikes, more and more cars the infrastructures hardly meet the
needs -> traffic jams. traffic participants is citizens’ awareness because most
people don’t stop at traffic lights and they wouldn’t follow the laws without the
presence of the police => more risks of road accident are cause by drunkard.

Transport problems:

1. Build more roads: some areas where population are crowded such as
towns or big cities, it does not have enough roads/ roads/ narrow/ variety/
types/ means of transport/ problems/ for the government shoul build more
 roads in these places to tackle the traffic issues and reduce traffic
accidents as well as traffic jams in rush hours
2. Build underground train lines:traffic in some foreign countries like
Singappore or Korea much better because they have more underground
train lines help solve the traffic problems so, the government should build
more underground railways to offer more choices for people to use
public transport travelling to work.
3. Introduce tough environmental law: enact/Some strict laws need to be
taken to protect the environment / E.g. offices or factories should
implement the rules ofcitizens for workers have to spend one day of the
week using public transport or cycling to work. Otherwise, they’ll get
fined by their companies and offices./ a moun of vehicles on the streets
will be reduced
4. Own idea:offer more public transportation: provide more means of public
transport with low prices, this means of public transport have high quality
and available on the treets or near many workplaces or schools/ factories/
all the time, so people are encouraged use public transport more often
(Keep the high tax / Increasing sales tax for buying a car / motorbkes=>pp
wouldn’t want to own a car/ motorbike/ but use public transport

In my opinion, taking him to the park is the best choice because it has many
benefit to make his evening interesting. They can enjoy fresh air which can help
them relax and feel better after hard studying week. Moreover, they can take
part in some outdoor activities such as jogging or playing some sports, which
may good for his health spirit and improve the fitness. Helping him with his
homework is not suitable for weekend evening, it is better to do something
funny and interesting to let his hair down and reduce study pressure, moreover,
doing home work is so boring and it make him get tired soon. In conclusion,
taking the boy to the park is the most suitable for a child’s weekend evening and
it quite useful for both mental and physical health.

Learning from each other:

1. Technology: help the young and the older to catch up with new
technology// with many modern devices//working/ as wel as
communication. Ex: the old can learn how to use computer and do the job
more effectively/ and learn how to keep updated with new information or
share information with other partner via google/ parents can learn how to
smart phone to communicate with others/ quickly/ via social network.
2. Behaviour: the young can learn the behaviour of the old/ ,the old should
set good example of good social behaviour for the young follow/ social
etiquette/ the young/ follow/ e.g: parents or grandparents can teach/
children/ how to behave with the elder or senior in right ways,the old/ can
benefit f rom adopting professional work styles from younger people/
some changes make many differences in working relationship between
the junior and senior which the old should adopt
3. History: It is important for the old to share the young about history of
our country/ the young can learn about past events what happened in old
time and where they came from and how they have such better life

Childhood:
1. Learning new things: a child is described as “white clear piece of paper”-
they do not have many knowledge and experience, they are quite
immature about everything around is completely strange/ -> this period
is really wonderful to learn various things from nature and the
surroundings can teach children about academic knowledge.
2. No worry: Children may have main duties such as eating and learning/
they do not have to worry about any matters in life and they do not need
to think of how to earn money or how to please other people / in office/ or
neighborhood or in community/ they don’t have to learn how to deal
with difficult problems in daily life
3. Being cared: they are always/ taken care of from the elders and parents/
grandparents/ baby sister can play with toys and they are always kept an
eyea by s.o/ almost do nothing/ except/ eating/ sleeping/ fed /
washed/dressed/ every day/ parents…
4. Own idea: No work: many years ago some children can do simple work
to help their parents, nowadays most children especially in the cities/ or
town/ they don’t have to do any things when a baby is looked after by
parents, when they get older/ go / school/ study/ all day/ weekend/ taken/
s.w for entertaining/ they can enjoy/ outdoor activities/. Obviously, they
are quite young so no job is suitable for them that’s why law defined
children’ right should be cared by parents/ educated/ protected/ the elder/
not/ work
 B/c of the what I mention above/Childhood is considered to be as the
best time or stage which people have had in their life.

Unit 8 : THE WORLD AROUND US

country on their fieldtrip.They want to visit different landscapes, organise and
enjoy some activities with local pp.They want to know more information about
the weather in your country
In your opinion, which is the best season for them to carry out their plan>

From my point of view, Spring is the best choice for students to have a good
tripto my country because of these reasons.The weather is very cool and warm
and it not too cold or not too hot. It is so wonderful for them to take part in
many out door activities on their fieldtrip. Moreover, It is the best time for many
trees and flowers in blossom and especially this seasons has lots of spectacular
scenery for visitors to make sightseeing tour/ - On this occasion, people in my
country celebrate New year which is the most important holiday in VN and it is
the best chance for foreign visitors to enjoy various activies to welcome New
year and get to know more about Vienamese culture. I don’t think summer is
good time because it is so hot and sweating and visitors can be exhausted after
travelling/ under the sun and they can get sunburnt . This season is not suitable
for outdoor activities because in summer, sometimes the weathers have severe
droughts which occur lack of water in some areas in my counntryside. Autum
is a rainy season which often rain late afternoon and sometimes it has heavy
rain or thunderstorm, it is very dangerous for foreign visitors. To sum up,
spring is the best time for travelling/ sightseeing tour/ enjoy more interesting
activities in VN.

1. Use public transport/ travel s.w: we should take the bus to go to work/ take/

trees/ along the streets or at school/ - join planting campaign run by local
community-> help prevent solid erosion or create more oxygen/ earth
