Script Writing - Format

A 48-year-old man tries to commit suicide in his house when he is discovered by his parents and is
immediately rushed to the hospital. His condition is critical and his relatives have gathered outside the
ICU where he is fighting for his life. As the doctors are frantically trying to save him as his life flashes
before his eyes. He wonders how all this happened and what led to this moment.
He is an average boy from a very poor family. From an early age he was exposed to the harsh realities of
life. His father was an alcoholic and tried to beat his mother every day. Insults and abuses are what he is
brought up with. So he is determined to give a better life to himself and his family. He works hard and
becomes an income tax officer. He finds a girl, falls deeply in love with her and gets married to her.
He finally had hope of having a beautiful family where all can live happily. However, all his dreams get
crushed when he finds out that his wife is not able to conceive.
He doesn't give up easily. He tries every possible way, seeks many doctors and finally he comes to know
that his wife has a medical condition. She cannot conceive a healthy child. The child may be born with
deformities and the pregnancy can put her own life in danger.
After learning the harsh reality, he gets broken completely. Everything he ever dreamt of, seemed to be
fading away before his eyes. His wife becomes severely disturbed due to the incident and starts
distancing herself from him as the pain was too much to bear. After spending some time deeply
drowned in his sorrows, he decides to go out and meet his old friends to get a glimpse of happiness.
There he comes across an old friend. He finds out that she had feelings for him when they were in
college but never expressed it. After knowing this, hope again kindered inside him. He wanted nothing
but his dream to come true. So he proposed to her and they got married to each other. He hadn't still
divorced his previous wife and was already planning to start a new life with his new-found love. He was
happy this time because she can conceive and his dream of having a family was going to come true.
He also realises that the previous wife is his true love and that he still misses and cares for her. He
becomes worried about her. Soon he starts losing interest for his second wife. He becomes aggressive
and starts having fights with his second wife regularly. He had become the reflection of his father whom
he despised the most. One day in the heat of an argument he accidentally kicked the second wife in the
belly which led to miscarriage of the baby. Unable to bear the trauma of losing her child she decides to
leave him. So finally there he was having lost everything again.
After losing a second chance he becomes completely broken and lost. Now there is nothing for him to go
back to. He has lost his wife and hope of becoming a father and even his will to live. He distances himself
from everyone and starts indulging in smoking alcohol and all other bad habits. Even his friends and
parents starts resenting him and slowly breaks all the ties with him. Drowned in his sorrows and despairs
suicidal thoughts starts appearing inside his mind. Slowly and gradually he starts falling into the pit of
depression that engulfs him completely.
He is back in the ICU room where his parents are standing in front of him. They tell him that he has a
surprise visitor. He gets up to look around and finds his first wife crying and looking at him.
He slowly gets better and decides that he is going to turn around his life by becoming a good person.
A few months later, he calls his first wife and tells her that he wants to meet her and make things right
with her. He also reaches out to his second wife and asks for forgiveness and promises any help to give
her a good life. He plans to meet with his first wife and takes a taxi. He is on the way when a lorry loses
control and is on the opposite direction to the protagonist. The protagonist is excited to see his wife. His
level of excitement is like two lovers seeing each other after a long time. Happy memories flash in front
of his eyes and finally turns white.
The first wife is waiting for him at the café for a long time. She gets sad and leaves the café. On the way
she notices a lorry around which people are gathered. She goes to look and finds a horribly scarred man.
She looks at his shirt and immediately cries out. It is the shirt her husband wore when they got married.
