❑ Jaypee Innovation and Incubation Center (JIIC), is established at Jaypee

Institute of Information Technology, Noida to cultivate innovative and
entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing Incubator and accelerated
services.
❑ JIIC is envisioned to bring forth entrepreneurial thoughts and knowledge

by creating opportunity for Students and Faculty of JIIT along with the
leaders from the industry to lay the stone of entrepreneurship

ABOUT OUR EVENT
“INCUBATHON 1.0”
Journey
❑ JIIC is organizing its first flagship event
“INCUBATHON 1.0” to encourage and foster of
entrepreneurial ideas. INCUBATHON
❑ It’s a university level hackathon that will provide the 1.0
platform for the students and faculty to showcase
their innovative skills by solving college based,
industrial and societal problems as per the given
themes and thus developing a culture of product
innovation.

I. PHASE 1 – Team Registration

II. PHASE 2– Formulation of panels
III. PHASE 3 – Idea Presentation
IV. PHASE 4 – Prototype demonstration

Roadmap
01 Team Registration
Students can register in a team of 2
to 4 along with a mentor and
provide a brief abstract of their
idea.
02 Formulation of Panels
Expert Panels will be formed
corresponding to different themes.
The panels will consist of internal
domain experts and investors from

the industry.
Roadmap
03 Idea Presentation
Registered teams will present their ideas before
panels of experts. The selected teams will be
given seed money for prototype development.
04 Prototype Demonstration
Selected teams will demonstrate their
prototypes in front of the investors. The
selected prototype will be provided IPR facility,
mentorship and incubation facilities at JIIT for
converting their prototypes into products.
JUDGING CRITERIA
The selected entries will be judged on the following
criteria by an unbiased panel, holding equal
weightage towards –
➢ Project innovation and concepts

➢ Relevance and importance
➢ Business plan
➢ Viability as a business in real world
(customer/market analysis and competitors)
➢ Quality of project presentation
➢ Entrepreneur skills
POINTS TO REMEMBER
➢ A minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 team members can register, excluding 1 mentor.
➢ The team cannot register without a mentor. The mentor must be a faculty member from
JIIT. More than 1 faculty can mentor in case of Inter-departmental groups.
➢ A participant of one team cannot be a part of another team.
➢ It is mandatory for all the team members to be a student of Jaypee Institute of Information
Technology. Off-campus students will not be entertained.
➢ The topic along with a brief abstract once submitted by the team, cannot be changed.
➢ The idea should be original and plagiarism free. Idea will only be accepted with signed approval
of Mentor.
➢ The due date for registration is 20 August 2021, further which registrations would not be taken
under consideration.
INCENTIVES & PERKS
➢ There is no entry fee for participating in INCUBATHON 1.0.
➢ The selected novel ideas would get seed funding if required as per
the proposed budget provided for prototype development.
➢ IPR Support will be facilitated by JIIT
➢ Investors support maybe provided for converting prototype into

product.
➢ The event could provide you with an alternate career path as

an entrepreneur, along with funding and incubation opportunities
with our partners.
